Replying to a GREETING

When someone sends a greeting you get an email saying:

Dear XXX,

We are glad to inform you that member test (http://www.xxx.net/test) sent you a greeting!

A greeting means that the member is interested in contacting you. Please, be polite and answer with your greeting in return. You can send it by merely following the link:
http://www.xxx.net/greet.php?sendto=2&from=1&ConfCode=ZG10MFIzWllXVkJIVjJocVp3PT0%3D

Thank you for using our services!

http://www.xxx.net/ mail delivery system!!!
Auto-generated e-mail, please, do not reply!!!

however, the problem is, when you click on the link, that automaticly sends a greeting back, there's a error in the link.. Instead of linking directly as the link is stated, it links to:

http://www.xxx.net/%5C%22http://www.xxx.net/greet.php?sendto=2&from=1&ConfCode=ZG10MFIzWllXVkJIVjJocVp3PT0%3D\%22

Which results in a:

Not Found

The requested URL /\"http://www.xxx.net/greet.php was not found on this server.

Apache/2.2.8 (EL) Server at www.xxx.net Port 80

One must always copy paste the link manually in order to remove the doubble http thing..

Please fix this?

tested again with the new modification and still has bugs.

When I click on that person's name who greeted me, it comes out like this

http://domain.com/%22http://domain.com/Patrick/%22

I think it supposed to be like this

http://domain.com/Patrick/

If i want to greet that person back, I click that url and it comes out like this

http://domain.com/%22http://domain.com/greet.php?sendto=13&from=590&ConfCode=ZG10bVZWbFZNbFZLWW1kUFp3PT0%3D\%22

I think it's a quick fit, please look into this.  Thanks! Laughing

EDIT: I tested in my email, it works good but it doesn't work in Dolphin Mail Box

I still get an error page on my site when clicking the link in the greeting email

I found a ticket from 2 years ago but it said that it was resolved and deleted.

Please help with detailed instructions as to hoe this can be fixed.

If this cannot be fixed can someone please tell me the file to edit and its exact location and what to edit in the file to change the email?

Strange...I get this error from the link that is sent via email. The link sent to the customers message inside the dashboard works fine?

Quote · 23 Mar 2012

Ok, sorry that error is probably due to being logged in as another user. lol

I just tested it again, and there is no error, so disregard my previous message.

insenseman, you might want to logout and try clicking that link again.

Now it works.

Thanks a lot! :)

Its all in the details.

Many times people post things in the most general terms with no detail and that can be very confusing.

I plan on putting Dolphin 7 through the ring. I will be testing it by pushing it to the limits.

Let the fun begin. LOL!!
