Reminder Feature for Events...

Modzzz has a reminder feature in his diary mod that is awesome my question is why is that same thought process not used in the event mod?  THIS feature only makes complete sense...it really like the IPHONE and IPAD needs to add a second reminder like the 1st is a day before the event and the second is whatever you want but can be an hour before the event.  This feature can be nothing but attractive but even better would be a text message sent in a both or either situation...  As a text message with a link back would be awesome for SEO as well...
