 I just kick my site off this month .. and everyday I received such below emails in my inbox : New user goloved2r9g with email butterfly8092@163.cn has joined, his/her ID is 4 When I checked the member menu in admin panel there is no such user shown in that page ... I also check my profile table in the database ..and there is no such user as well
Since I am newbie in this dolphin world .. could somebody brief me what does it mean ??? is it a spam ???? Regards, Husein

Yes, that is a spam member. You can tell by the @163.cn address.. but that shouldn't stop them from showing up in the member list.

@mscott: Thank you for confirmation that it is a spam ... you r right ..it come from another dolphin site ...I use for testing purpose hosted in an USA server ... Is there a way to prevent such things beside the dolphin anti spam tool ??? |
Are you on shared hosting or a VPS/Dedicated? If it's shared you will be limited to what you can do but there are some really good ideas here:
