RSS Feed not valid

Hi.

We want to insert our RSS Newsfeed in our Newsletter.

And we have an error!

So, we have checked the RSS Link in http://validator.w3.org/feed/ an see MANY errors!

Our RSS Link: http://www.elbrocker.de/m/news/act_rss/

Here the errorpage from w3.org:

Sorry

This feed does not validate.

  • line 1, column 216: lastBuildDate must be an RFC-822 date-time: [help]

    ... ge anzeigen

<![ ...
                                                 ^
  • line 1, column 398: guid must be a full URL, unless isPermaLink attribute is false: 1054 (10 occurrences) [help]

    ... ezkicker

1054

                                                 ^

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.

  • Feeds should not be served with the "text/html" media type [help]

  • Your feed appears to be encoded as "UTF-8", but your server is reporting "US-ASCII" [help]

  • line 27, column 109: Missing atom:link with rel="self" [help]

    ... May 2011 09:12:12 +0200

Is there a bugfix for this?

the validation failure is coming directly from your link --> http://www.elbrocker.de/m/news/act_rss/

are you able to validate the feed where you are getting it from? what is the url you are putting into the rss block?

and validation really doesnt impede the feed, as best i can tell?

the larger issue is that you are trying to push a rewritten URL for validation, and the validator is not accepting that. it is complaining about the permalink url you are providing. turn off permlinks and see if it will validate, further, see if the feed you are pulling from validates.

Hi.

Thanx for your answer.

The link ist directly from the block Latest News in Dolphin.

With permalinks=off is the result the same!

So, what can I do? It's a Dolphin problem.

The Problem is, that our newsletterprogram not accept this RSS link because it is not valid...

I will ask the programmer from the newsletterprogramm to change his programm.
