RMS recommendations

I have spoken with many, i currently have my hosting accounts through Hostmonster. For the most part, I am satisfied with them, however when it comes to Dolphin, they just do not support it. Drupal and Joomla seems to be there brand of choice. I notice in the settings of the flash apps (forgive me if this is a noob question) that there is an IP address for RMS. Can you have your RMS hosted in separate places? Does anyone have any recommendations? I have time left with my hosting account with hostmonster, would it be better to switch hosts that support dolphin better?

Boonex no longer offers free RMS anymore. You would need to purchase a stand-alone RMS package if Hostmonster does not support dolphin. When you purchase the RMS, they will provide you an IP address with the needed Port numbers as well.YOu would then need to check the box "Use RMS" and input the information supplied to you.

Understanding that you still have time left with your host, just be aware with the changes made in D7, its possible that you MAY encounter problems in your site.

Good Luck with it!

To get yourself up and running and used to dolphin...save money and stick with what you have, hostmonster is fine for now and yes you will need a seperate RMS connection to utilise video chat etc...upgrade to a VPS when you feel ready and before your site gets busy.
