Sure, it is easy to add them but tedious work.  The emotion icons are in the emotion plugin in TinyMCE.  You have to add the icons then you edit the emotion.html file (I may have the file name a bit off); editing that file is the tedious part.  You have to check the dimensions of each icon and place that in the html file so they will display correctly.  If you like, I can zip up mine; and share it; I can not guarantee there are not any copyrighted icons.  I think if they are based off the smiley icon they are public domain because the smiley image is in the public domain.  Not sure about copyright myself.  However, if you have specific icons you want to use, just look at the plugin files to see how it works.

You mean for adding new emotions to the list?  I don't have any instructions except to look at the file and see how it works.

To replace your set of emotions with mine, you simply rename the emotions plugin, upload mine to the TinyMCE plugin directory, clear all caches including your browser cache, and it should work.  If you don't see the new set, it is because of caching.

Let me create a topic in the tips and sharing thing.  I guess it is OK to share these; I don't own them or anything.

Uploaded to the sharing forum.  The forum and blogs and comments, etc, all uses the same TinyMCE plugin.  You can not just upload icons and they will be available for use.  You have to add them to the TinyMCE emotions plugin, and you have to edit the emotions.html file so they will be displayed and inserted when someone clicks on them.  It is easy but tedious work to add a lot of emotions.  To use my set follow the instructions on the sharing forum.

Now the emotion plugin has to be added to the TinyMCE init; If you want to be able to add emotions to comments, then you need to have the plugin added to the list of plugins for the tinyMCE toolbar for the comments.  That is also easy to do.
