Profile Types (Registration)

Hello, I am having problems creating profile types for users when they register. What I am trying to do is when the user register on the site, I want to give them an option of selecting profile either A or B. Once that is selected, I want the fields for the Misc Info A to be different from Misc Info B.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Not exactly. 

Let be specific:

User starts to register and have an option A and B. as in standard version Couples have an option to register as a couple with (kind of)additional fields.

Option A has simple set of fields as: e-mail, nick name, password. Option B has the same plus additional fields which are mandatory for option B. 

Let say it's could be drop down list to chose from or radio button. But when selection has been made user has screen with corresponding fields.
