Make sure you upload them in the default photo album to show up in the profile. Which album are you uploading them to?

Default isnt there. When the photo uploads there is no preview showing either  Frown

So you don't see a default photo album when you login, that's strange...

Login and open this URL - http://www.yoursite.com/m/photos/albums/my/main/

Do you see anything there?

I can see the boxes where they should be but no photos

Seems the preview images are not being generated for some reason. Is your GD library path correct?

These are some of the settings in my inc/header.inc.php file -

$video_ext                 = 'avi';
$MOGRIFY                   = "/usr/bin/mogrify";
$CONVERT                   = "/usr/bin/convert";
$COMPOSITE                 = "/usr/bin/composite";
$PHPBIN                    = "/usr/local/bin/php";

Also check your apache logs for some permissions related errors or something....

 Mine is the same.

How do I set my GD Library path?

How do I check my apache logs?

Thanks for your help!

Hello simonwjones!

Check the points which were directed by mickscool (good instructions, mickscool!) and also check DB, tables bx_photos_main and sys_albums - were records about new photos and album created? Try to upload watermark in admin panel->settings->watermark section and see - will be picture placed in media/images/profile directory? If yes then try to work with pictures for promo section. By this way we can reach is problem in ur GD or something wrong in another place. PM me also with url of ur site and admin access if possible - want to see this trouble too.

Regard

it might be simpler as you think. I had a similar problem, too. I found that the problem was related to language file ( !! ) . if you have a new added language, remove it temporary ( backup it first),  and compile again the english language. Clean cache in admin dashboard, and see if your uploaded images are now displayed. if yes, pay attention to what editor are you using when you edit your language file. I would recomend to translate directly with the language tool.

this worked for me. it could be useful for you, too, or... useless. :P

 Sorry, it doesn't work!

I think I might get this hosted with someone else and let them configure it and do all the bits I cant do!

You can also try going into your Admin Panel >Settings > Advanced Settings> Variables

Make sure there is a checkmark in "Use GD library for image processing:"

If there is one, try removing it and then re-upload a photo.

See if that helps.

Chris

Nothing to see here

How do I check my apache logs?

You can see it from cpanel or atleast check the actual log file location using cpanel and then using ftp under apache/logs folder, you can view the logs file. It depends upon the host O.S and the hosting plan. You can also ask your host to tell you the exact log location if you cannot find them....

i have the same problem , how i can fix?

 I had to do a fresh install and it solved it.

Now, I can't see my full members profile. I have added some blocks in the edit page page but when I view them (www.mysite.com/membername) they dont appear!
