 I'm trying to get the matching system to work. I've turn the matching system on @ 85% but have not received any response so far.
I set up 3 fields to match: Country 40% State 40% MatchMe 20%
Does the program send out emails as soon as a match is found or is there some other criteria that may cause the emails to be delayed? |
Surely it doesn't send emails to all your matches? That would be a serious privacy issue for starters, but on a big site that could be emails to thousands of members with the criteria you've picked. I've never used the Boonex matching system, but my guess is it just lists people with similar interests.
Country and State aren't much of a match criteria. On my site, country would be 100% of the members and State 20%. I'd be looking at age, interests etc. |
The matching system is only supposed to create a match where the same value is in the chosen fields.
As my membership is expected to come from many Countries and many States, using these 2 fields is an ok match for now. I'll add other parameters later. |
