Profile Edit does not work

I have a problem with my profile edit not working. When I click on Info from the top menu tab then click on edit for the profile, then try to update the profile information, I keep getting a red circle saying that I have a error and to check the fields. In my settings I only have one mandatory field option and I have everything field out correct except the changing of password field. I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem before?
