Problem with Whiteboard

I cannot make any editable boards in whiteboard at all. Anything that could be causing this problem? It's a fresh install of Dolphin + Ray on the free versions

You must be trying to use the boonex RMS (rms.boonex.com)

It doesn't work.  Why Boonex continues to advertise this 'Free RMS', when it obviously does not work. escapes me.  The Ray widgets will work if you subscribe to 3rd party RMS hosting.  Dont's expect the  Ray video recorder to ever work though.  White board, video chat, an video IM should work ok with 3rd party RMS hosting,  You can get this hosting for about $5 a month.

houston is probably correct on the fact that you are having this problem is due to using the "FREE" rms. with litterally hundreds of thousands, looking to connect to something for "FREE" you must surely understand why the server would have some difficulty keeping up.

now, this could be in fact that your host doesnt support the ffmpeg.exe, have you verified that your host does support the running of exe files. are you on a windows environment, or a *nix environment.

as for profile videos, yes they do work, and this has been explained on other forum posts.

Thanks everyone for your responses, and you all were correct in your diagnosis that the RMS server was at fault. It is indeed the issue that was causing the errors. My host does support .exe files so I don't think that would be the problem here. I am looking for hosting and I think Cyberxing might be able to provide good RMS server hosting at 3$ a month. Does anyone know if they are a good host?

I use Cyberxing.  Their RMS hosting seems to work ok with the exception of the Ray recorder.  I'm not sure it's their problem though.... it could be an issue on the Boonex side, but it's hard to tell since no one seems to care that it doesn't work for a vast majority of users.  Several people have tried to tell me that the Ray recorder works, but I have to call B.S. on that. Back to Cyberxing... I'm not sure who the service is operated by, but trying to get a rise out of their 'support' group, or individual,.is virtually impossible.  I have an open support ticket that is almost 2 months old that I have yet to receive a response to.  It's regarding the Ray recorder, which I believe to be a useless feature, so I really don't care if it doesn't work.

With that said, Cyberxing is as good an RMS host as any for the money.  The chat, IM, and Whiteboard on my site seems to work most of the time, although I haven't tested it under any kind of load.  In spite of the support issues, I'm satisfied with the $5/month hosting ..... it's hard to complain about something that only costs that much.  Still, I would like to see everything working(even the useless part) and I would like an attentive support staff...... all of which, I would gladly pay more for.
