Problem with HostForWeb / What's VPS?

Hi,

My site has been suspended and I have no idea why or what's going on.

I've been told this:

You overload server by your mysqldatabase.
You must migrate to VPS or Dedicated server, because create problems to another clients by overloading server.

Can someone here fix this for me?  I'll of course pay for the job.

Regards

Yes, Dolphin is too resource intensive for a shared hosting account even if some hosts claim they support it on shared hosts and Boonex continue to list them knowing most clearly that after you set up your site they will start throttling the site or complaining that you are using too many resources.  Boonex REFUSES to remove them from recommended hosting; shame on you Boonex.  Now that the rant is over, I will answer your question.

First, VPS stands for Virtual Private Server.  Now, many hosting companies are just as bad about putting too many VPSes on the same box as they do shared hosting which means you end up in the same situation, which then they will tote out their dedicated packages.  Best to just tell them to take a flying leap on the closest pier.

I would skip the VPS unless you know for sure how many VPSes will be on the same physical server.  By the time you pay for a VPS that meets the needs of Dolphin you will be paying dedicated prices anyway.

How much do you know about setting up a server?  If not a lot, then you need to contract it out to someone who can.  What is your budget?  I will send a PM to you so you don't have to list too much information in the forums.

Geeks, making the world a better place

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
