Problem custom menu items

I have a small problem with the menus. Let me explain.

In the menu poeple I added some elements with a personalized link.

For example, "Women Online".

I noticed that when you click on a system menu, the menu item is highlighted and it is then placed in menu title like this:

With an element added by me, it does not work in the same way, the link works ok, but nothing changes in the menu like this:

Is this normal, or did I make a mistake?

Make sure that you've added all combinations of links on your page divided by vertical line sign (|) in "Link" field in "sys_menu_top" table.

Thanks Alex, I followed your advice without success. But I just found it. My bad. In fact, the links I had included http://www.twoforlife.com/...../....

I simply deleted this part of the link and it works now. Thank you for your help.
