Privacy Settings

I cannot find any way to set a Privacy level for my Profile ??? There are lot of Privacy Settings for all kind of contents (Ads, Blog, Photo...) but none for the whole Profile...

It need to be a Privacy Setting for the whole Profile (that will also set all contents Privacy Settings to the same value). When a user try to see a Profile set to, for example, My Friends only, a message (for example: You cannot see this Profile because it is set to Private) and a Befriend button have to display.

I thought it was me at first. I mean I love the whole "privacy settings" feature but wouldn't you expect that the main option members would use would be a "Profile" privacy setting? I totally agree this should definitely be a part of your options in privacy settings. I hope you create a ticket for this, since this feature is a standard to most all social networking sites.

One should also be able to pick individual members who can view their material. Not just faves, contacts, members, etc..

But if I only want the member "eclectech99" to view my pics.....then why not? Seems only natural.

Pretty big oversight.  I guess I assumed it was there someplace and I just couldn't find it.  Good catch Michel, but finding something that big missing makes me think it may be a good long while before we see a stable release candidate.

Michel, yesterday I was in the middle of adding a comment to your ticket 1192 about this, with a few suggestions, and when I went to post it, Anton had marked the ticket as invalid and closed it.  I added my 2 cents to the ticket and reopened it.  Keep an eye on it so it doesn't get closed again.

Hey HoustonLively, if you are talking about this one http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/ticket/1192 they have it marked as fixed. Not sure how it has been fixed. I guess we will have to see if the setting gets put there in the next beta.

Something was done... But, as far as I can understand Anton's added code, this is the Profile Info page which has now Privacy Setting, not the Profile page.

I think that when a user who is not friend, not fave or doesn't match any other Privacy level of a profile, this user has to see just a message  and the Befriend button to send a friend request and cannot open the profile page.

I'd like too that if this My Profile Privacy Setting is set to, for example, My Friends only, all the other Privacy Settings default values are turned to this privacy level but still can be changed one by one. 

I hope he got it right.  I tried to explain it the best I could in the note I added.  Maybe the changed files can be downloaded and checked.  You should post a comment on your ticket and ask for clarification.  This is important... they need to get it 100% right.  They've done ok so far, considering they diddn't even know what privacy settings were at the beginning of the year.  Im sure it'll be done right befor D7 goes gold.
