Premium Featured Mod Support (Modzzz)

This is the support forum for the Premium Featured mod.

Version 2.0.0 released.

a) Fixes problem with the Paypal payment not being properly processed.

b) Adds Featured Members blocks to Join Page and Account Page.

Clients can download the mod and check the patches/version_2.0.0 folder for instructions.

Fixes problem with invalid end date being displayed when a member is featured for unlimited length of time

Fixes issue with featured members not being removed after their time expires.

 is it possible to choose how many shown in featured block on home page ?

 Another idea is a notification and mail to user when they have been donated a featured spot as there is no way they can know they are (a) featured (unless they look) and (b) who donated the featured spot/listing

How to limit the purchase of Premium Featured Members to certain Membership Levels?

Don't see the option in the settings.

Administrator can decide which membership levels can Purchase or Donate Featured Status.

This is not found in the settings of the mod. It is controlled in the actions for the membership levels (go to Settings => Membership Levels in your admin panel)

Change the currency code to EUR

Change the currency sign to £

I have a UK site so I need the currency to be British Pounds, not Euros or Dollars.

I also have your Premium Classifieds mod which also needs to change currency.

There must be a simple fix to this?

Ok I have done that, but when the member is redirected to paypal it shows the currency in dollars not pounds

PM me your site details so I can take a look. I have made the same change on the demo site and it is showing pounds when redirected to Paypal.

This module is now updated for Dolphin 7.1

For Dolphin 7.1 version, updates have been made. Download again and re-upload all files.

I installed the updated version from 12th Jan.

Should I uninstall and re-install the 14th Jan release?

 Once you made the update after my last forum post, you are fine.

Some layout and language adjustments have been made. Re-upload the files and Recompile language for the module.

Improvements made to the ability for Admin to place Featured Members block on any page. The existing Admin interface for adding blocks is removed and now you can just use the page builder and drag the block on any page.

I'm successfully being able to Feature members through use of points.

The points however are not deducted from the account.

Any suggestions?

Don't know if it's a setting issue, points mod or feature mod bug.

This is what I experience:

1. User can purchase Featured spot with points.
2. The points are not deducted from users account.
3. User can go in and buy Featured spot again with points.
4. This do not extend the number of days the user is Featured. It does however renew the time user is featured. Like he was purchasing it for the first time.

Anyone that have had the same problem?

Problem was quickly solved by Modzzz.

I had forgotten to upload and run sqlpoints.php

Plus I needed to download and replace modules\modzzz\featured\classes

Works perfectly now.

Adds "Feature/Unfeature" button in the Actions block on the Profile Page. This gives Administrator easy access to Feature Members

how can I limit the number of featured members in block at anyone time ?

also,  admins can feature members but they cannot define for how long?

I have added the ability to set the number of days when Administrator is allocating featured membership to members. This is now available when doing it from the admin section of the mod (but not from the profile action button)

I have also added the option to limit the number of featured members in the admin settings for the mod. Previously the original dolphin setting was used.

is there a way updates of donated featured spots can be updated on site spy / notifications like other mods please ? 

I have installed block on splash page to display photos of featured members.

So far I can only find instructions to display first, last or username under the photos.

I would like to display more user friendly fields ie:  username, age, city, country

How can I accomplish this?

How do I make a the Featured Member block searchable?  I'd like the Featured Member block on a Search page to be populated by the search criteria.  A user searching for people in Miami, should only see featured members in Miami, in the featured search block.

 I have made a note of your suggestion for the next update of the module.

The 'next page buttons' in the Profile search results block, that show the next list of profiles, stop working when the Featured Profiles block is on the page.  When I remove the Featured block, the next page buttons work again.

Jerome, Any fix for this?  The Featured People Search can only show the first 10 results.  Next page buttons not working.  This is a critical issue.  Usually you are able to fix something like this in a few minutes. Please take a look.

What would it take to add to the admin the ability to charge by day, week, month, or year, instead of just by day?  The user could then select which length they want to buy and the admin could offer discounts for longer periods.  

If that's too much, then how about just the admin being able to select the time period that can be purchased so that a user has to at least buy a week or month instead of just one day.

Advanced Featured Members module is now compatible with Dolphin 7.2 . For those upgrading from Dolphin 7.1, please check the upgrade folder for instructions.

The People Search criteria does not effect search results for the Featured members block in 7.2.1.  What file controls this?  Do you have a fix?

The Featured Members Search works for Dolphin 7.1.6, but not for 7.2.1.  All Featured Member module files are the same and I checked the search.php file and it is the same.  What file needs to be updated for the People Search criteria to work for the Featured Member block?

Does anyone have this same problem with the Featured members search in Dolphin 7.2?  Has anyone come up with a fix?

@MGH - The Featured Member module does not have a search functionality. There is a default featured members search that comes with Dolphin. If you have an issue with that then it should not be posted in the support forum for this module. It should be posted in the general dolphin forum so Boonex can get it resolved. Please post a screenshot here so I can see what you are talking about.

This has to do with the custom code you made for the featured spot module on my site.  I thought you included this code with the new version of the featured module.  You fixed the custom search feature for 7.1 and now I need a fix for 7.2.  The code seems to still be there in the search.php file, but it has no effect on the featured search results.  I'll PM a screen shot to you.
