Premium Events Mod Support (Modzzz) - part 2

Hey Modzzz, I am having a few issues with this mod, and need your help to sort them out.

For one, the invite send is still popping an error and not sending the invites. 

#2 Fellow members are allowed to add events on my site, but not all the options are available to them as they are to the admin. They are not allowed to add photos, files, videos or anything else they need to upload. 

This seems like an awesome mod, just need to get it working properly and we will be great.

In the Admin settings for the mod there is an option that says "Max number of email invitation to send per one invite", what value do you have for this ?

Regarding the permissions issue (upload photos etc), this is a membership levels issue. You need to assign permission to upload Events Photos etc. to those membership levels that you need to give this access to by going to the membership level action settings section in your Admin.

 The amount is set at 10000 for "Max number of email invitation to send per one invite".

I found the adjustments on the membership permissions and fixed the second issue. Thank you!

I have attached the requested screen shot. FYI, Dolphin_Jay is my host. If this is a server issue, I will be totally in the dark. I have contacted him about this in the past and he said that the site was overloading the resources. Please help if you can.

I am willing to give you full access to the site if you would be willing to help with this issue. It's driving me nuts and I will be soooo grateful.

An issue with Rating events has been resolved. Re-upload the modules\boonex\events\classes\BxEventsModule.php file.

Hi,

Module works great but I have two issues: 

• i.e. an events starts on friday 9 pm an ends 10pm the event is shown in the calendar on friday AND saturday, this means all events in the calendar are automatically doubled. (see attached files)
• where can i change the time format to 24h instead 12h format?

For the first issue, please clarify when the event ends (10pm Friday or 10pm Saturday ?). If the event starts on Friday and ends on Saturday, the calendar will show the event as happening both days. That is the standard functionality in the default events module that comes with Dolphin and I did not change it in my Premium version.

Regarding the second issue, I have removed my custom format and replace it with the default format of Dolphin, download the mod again and replace this file:

modules\boonex\events\classes\BxEventsTemplate.php

• 2nd issue is working (12hr vs 24hr time format)
• regarding the first issue: no, I've checked this and as you can see in the screenshot from my previous post the event starts and ends on the same day. but the event will be shown on two days. (same day and the day after)

any ideas?

solved - it was a servertime issue which caused the event to appear on two dates as it was calculated based on unix timestamp (summer/wintertime)

I embed a youtube url but it doesn't appear in the event ? what im i doing wrong ?

Also i don't want to have country drop down list , i want by default United kingdom as a country ! but i don't want to show the country drop down to members or even me as admin is that possible.

Of course with state drop down as well (dont wont to show it )

Also i want to disable regular video upload . and keep only youtube embed

If i delete an event from event page , i got this error in evowall feeds :

@Eli - Please post the issue with evowall in the support forum for that module so it can be addressed by the developer. Regarding the specific event modifications you want, I tried to access your site earlier to make them but it seems you have changed the access information you gave me.

 This is a missing language key. You can go to the language section in Admin and add it :

_bx_events_err_msg_date_span = Event End Date cannot be earlier than the Start Date

Several miscellaneous improvements has been made. 

Some hiccups with the Recurring functionality has been resolved. Re-upload the following folder :

modules/boonex/events/classes/

when will support for 7.2.0 be released? thanks!

 Update for all 200+ modules is presently in progress. I cannot give a specific day though for a particular module.

Are you also finishing a ticket module that works with premium events in 7.2? Really could use it...

Hello Modzzz.  New to Boonex and straight away we purchased 3 of your modules.  Two seem to be updated and we are waiting on the Premium events.  We are also thinking about the "gigs" module.  We too would love to see the ticketed events portion added.  Unlike other sites we are at a complete stand still since we are starting off with 7.2.  I can't imagine how daunting of a task it must be to update so many modules.  It is most admirable of you to continue servicing your work even after your ideas were basically taken away.  Somehow I don't see how that could even be legal.  I mean you have a legal disclaimer that makes your work intellectual property.   Well so much for that.  Hope things are going well.  Looking forward to starting the work to get our site up and running.

I have downloaded your Premium Events Mod and have been running it for some time now, and I have to say I love it! I recently updated my Dolphin to 7.1.6 and some thing have changed or look different. I only have 2 small issues.

1) Too much content listed on the home page. 3 events takes up the whole center column of my page. Would rather have smaller clickable listings.

2) The date is not showing on the homepage listing. The number of days till the event is there, but not the date itself. how do I add this?

Premium Events module is now compatible with Dolphin 7.2 . For those upgrading from Dolphin 7.1, please check the upgrade folder for instructions.

Surely you remember this above :) , is it possible to help me out to keep only United Kingdom in the drop list and make it as default country for all the events , also i don't want the states List. Is that possible , if yes you do have my ftp access and admin access . Or you can simply tell me what codes needing to be changed and will do it myself thanks.

I still can't get the Event notifications and Recurring events to work.  What files control these features so I can take a look or try to reinstall them.

Some of my event reminders came through today, but they were on the day of the Event (selected 1 day before event) and 3 hrs after the event started.  The recurring events were not added to the calendar.  Any ideas here?

Does the recurring Event feature work for anyone?  Mine does not.

I have installed Dolphin 7.2.1 as a fresh installation and installed the updated Premium Events 2.2.0 module.  The recurring events feature is working now, which is outstanding.  However, the Event notification is 1 day off.  When I set the notification to 1 day before event start, I receive the email notification on the day of the event, at the time the event starts.  Is there a fix for this?

Have you fixed the Events module notification feature yet?  No matter what notification setting you select for the number of days before event begins to notify participants, it always sends the notification on the day and time the event starts.

An update has been made to the Reminder Notification feature.

Dolphin 7.3 version has been released.

Premium Event mod for boonex dolphin version 3 has some issues

1. I can not edit location

2. Sponsors, news, venues will not show up 

@innovati - There are no such issues with the installation of the module on a default Dolphin 7.3 site so there is most likely some incompatibility with changes you have made to your site or with a custom template you are using. I am awaiting your site details to be sent via PM so further investigation can be done.

I am having an issue where participants of an event are able to upload files, photos, videos, and sounds to it when the event is upcoming (as they should). However, once the event has passed, only event admins are able to upload content to it. Is there anything I can do to make it so all participants are able to upload content to the event even after it has passed?

@C-X-H - The mod does not have any coding in it that prevents uploading based on the Event date. Double check the Privacy setting of the particular Event (by looking on the Edit page) to ensure that it is allowing uploads from participants.

 Privacy settings are correct, and everything behaves correctly until the event is passed.

PM me your site details so I can check this out on your site. This functionality is tested and working on the demo site. Once the Event has the "Upload Photos" privacy option set to "Participants" then any Event Participant can upload a Photo regardless of the state of the Event.

Regarding rich snippet

There is  <html .........> not not simply <HTML> in template Evo. Can we replace that with the line in instructions.

Small issue. When I go to places and click on "create event" it doesn't carry over the Place information. The only thing carried over is State and Country. The address and other important information is blank. 

 Are you talking about integration with Places module ?

Yes, I bought Places+Events pack. 

So when trying to create an event from a place, the address, phone... won't carry over. 

Also, the Events main page doesn't have a "Page Builder" so I can't modify the layout. 

Lastly, there's no mobile block for Events. This is super important. 

Does this AUTOMATICALLY display events in the same general GEO location area depending on the user's current location. I want my Members to automatically see local area events when they are in a different location than their home.  In other words I live in New York, New York, USA and travel to Los Angeles, CA. USA, I want the user to see what happening in Los Angeles while he is there. I know they can always do a search, but they are telling me they want the site to be GEOLocation by default.  I have a lot of lazy users ;) . But they do have a good argument, most APPS today are GEO enabled.

If it is NOT able to do this can it be modified? And if so how much?

@Skidds - The module does not have Geolocation built in. I will send you a PM regarding customization.
