Hey Jerome - I think it's completely unethical to be taking on more projects for customization when you have failed to finish the work I paid you back in June 2016. Over 10 emails sent to you without a response - yet you're able to respond to requests made on this forum! Approaching 6 months now - when are you going to support your loyal paying customers like me? Jethro |
Jerome, My map locations no longer work on the Business Listings Module and Premium Events module. The map recognizes the city, but not the street address. Everything just gets placed in the same location, center of whatever city it's in. I'm not sure if it's a World Map issue or an issue with your module. It used to work fine without a Google Maps API. But since it's stopped working, I created and entered a Google Maps API. It didn't fix the issue. Your thoughts please. |
Jerome, Any fix for the Business Listing Map block? Is there new code needed for the Google Earth API? Other map blocks are also off, Events, Venues, etc. Is anyone else having this problem? I have my Google Key installed and Google Maps Geocoding and Geolocation are both enabled in the API console as well as othe Google Maps APIs. Thanks |
@MGH - I am not sure what is causing your issue. I notice you also raised the issue in the world maps error forum post. Let's see if AlexT has any further suggestion as to what may be triggering this problem. Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
Jerome, So it's just me? Very odd. Some addresses are correct on the map, and some are way off. |
Jerome, Back to you. None of the native Boonex modules use a street address, so the general map locations work fine for city, state, and zip. It's the street addresses that are sometimes perfect, and sometimes way off. Did Google tweak something in their maps API regarding how a street address is requested in the code? I can send you a PM with a link to my test site if you'd like to test it out. |
Jerome, I just tested the Maping block on your Listing demo site and I see it has the same problem. Please take a look at the Listing called "Location Test" and see where the business is on the map. Then map the same address, 100 E Palmetto Park Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33432, on Google Maps. The Google Maps location is the correct location. Any idea why the Map block displays a different location? |

An update has been made to the file '/modzzz/listing/classes/BxListingModule.php' to fix an issue with sharing. Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
Since implementing latest update I've been getting a lot more database errors than normal. Mysql error: Table 'modzzz_listing_category' doesn't exist Found error in the file 'BxListingDb.php' at line 720.
Any ideas? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TravelNotes.org - The Online Guide to Travel |
Error is suggesting that you missed a patch. What was your module version before you started updating ? Did you apply each of the patches that were released or just the latest one ? Since implementing latest update I've been getting a lot more database errors than normal.

Business Listings', 'modzzz.com', '2.2.1' So I just applied the latest one - 2.2.2. TravelNotes.org - The Online Guide to Travel |
I think I might be able to chip away at these category fails and (hopefully) fix the categories that are causing the database errors by cross-referencing the database tables and website uris.
The Blogs no longer showing on your Premium Groups module is something bigger that is completely out of my hands.
TravelNotes.org - The Online Guide to Travel |
@TravelNotes - PM me your site details so I can manually fix the problem. Regarding Groups issue, you have already mentioned that in the relevant support forum. Please do not discuss it here. Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
Sorry about mentioning the other problem but as you hadn't replied to it, or the PM I sent, it was hard to know if you had seen it or not. At least now I know you have. As a lot of your modules cross-over with one another, a problem with one can have a resulting effect on another (as I mentioned in another module thread - which still needs looking at). No problem. I get many support requests daily. It does take time to investigate and respond to them all. Business Contact Details In the 'Listing's business contact block' we have website and email. On a live view of a business listing we have Website Visit, where visit is a link to the website; whereas email is given in long form. It might be useful if the e-mail address is made into a mailto: e-mail link as long e-mail addresses bleed out of the block. http://meta-travel.com/m/listing/view/Leisure-Travel-Holidays-Kilimanjaro TravelNotes.org - The Online Guide to Travel |
@TravelNotes - I have made note of the suggestion to be included in the next update. Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
I've solved this by installing your Social Connection module and putting the e-mail address in there; which then opens up a mailto: link. This brings me on to a couple of other cross module issues. Why do we have Website - Visit (on Listing Contact) yet Website - URL on (Lodging Contact)? Perhaps we could have the Business Listing version used on the Lodging module. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TravelNotes.org - The Online Guide to Travel |
I meant, Module Social. This plugin will allow Module Administrators to add social connection links (in the form of social media icons) to their page. All so confusing. TravelNotes.org - The Online Guide to Travel |
Hi Modzzz,
I had a version of Business listing previous to 2.2.2 installed. Today when trying to upgrade, I've followed the instructions in the readme file and I've uploaded the files to the server. But when trying to run sqlupdate.php, I have got the following error:
****************** START ..... Error
Database query error
******************
Please can you try to check it out. It seems that something is wrong with the upgrade script.
Thanks. |
@DigitZup - What version did you have previously ? Also, you should have received the full error message in your bug report email. Please forward that to my support email. Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
I was running the version 2.2.1. I have just forwarded the email with the full error message to you.
Thanks. |
@DigitZup - remove lines 18-27 from the sqlupdate.php file then run it again. Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
@DigitZup - remove lines 18-27 from the sqlupdate.php file then run it again.
Done and the update went smoothly. Thanks for the support.
By the way, the lines removed from the sqlupdate.php file and the changes that come with won't be missing in the database? Or maybe I don't need them because I am coming from version 2.2.1, right? |

@ttime1 - You most likely have not performed the instruction in the readme.txt regarding uploading and running the sqlstates.php file. There is no sqlstates.php file in the Listing file. So, I used the one in your premium events and am now getting a HTTP ERROR 500 |
@ttime1 - Sorry, I had updated that module to eliminate the requirement for sqlstates.php . PM me the site details (Admin and FTP login) for further investigation. Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |

Hello,
I would like to address few issues I came across:
1) From the Admin site, I have created few listing packages. e.g:
Free Silver Monthly Silver Quarterly Silver Yearly Gold Monthly Gold Quarterly Gold Yearly
But... at the frontend when adding a listing (m/listing/browse/my&filter=add_listing), the listing packages are shown in a messy way in the drop down list menu. The package order has completely changed. Packages are mixed up making them very confused to choose from.
Q: On that drop down list, how the show (order) the packages in the very same order I created them in the backend as seen in the example above? From the oldest created to newest created.
2) On that drop down list, as the newest package created is being shown first, then that newest package created is being used as a default option (default value on the drop down list) on the "add new listing page". In my case the newest package created ends up being the "Gold Yearly" package. This may scare users because of the price of the Yearly package that is usually high than the one of a monthly package. Lazy users who will not check the drop down list for other package options will just leave the page.
Q: How to set a specific package as a default value on the drop down list when a user want to add a listing? I would like the "Silver Monthly" package to be the default value.
3) How to add the package price next to the package name on that drop down list.
e.g:
Silver Monthly ($5.00)
or if possible, even the package duration. e.g:
Silver Monthly (30 days - $5.00)
Thanks in advance.
Best regards. |
Hi Modzzz,
Please, can you help?
Thanks |
The packages functionality of this module is updated so that on the post form the packages are listed in the order of price. Additionally, the days and price are shown in the listings. The following file is updated modules/modzzz/listing/classes/BxListingDb.php Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
Hi Modzzz,
Thanks for the update.
1) I have applied it but it seems that there is a small issue. On the post form, when landing on the page, while the packages are listed in the order of price, the package description is still showing the description of the package of the highest price.
E.g. Free (10 days - $0.00) The package description shows: Gold (30 days - $30.00) Even in your demo site, I have seen the same problem. Please advise. 2) Listing the packages in the order of price is a good idea but I think that it is best suitable for sites with few listing packages (3 to 4 packages) like on your demo site. But for sites with too many packages, things still look messy and confusing on the post form. e.g.: I have 4 main packages. 1 free + 3 paid packages. Each paid package has 4 terms (monthly, quarterly, semiannually, yearly). Total: 13 Packages. Some higher packages (e.g. Gold Quarterly) have a lower price than some lower packages (e.g. Sylver Yearly). Then the "Gold Quarterly" package is listed before the "Sylver Yearly" package. Many packages are listed that way. As a result, the post form is messed up. I think it would be nice for sites with many packages to list package in the order of creation or ID and in a ascending order. Any idea on how to achieve that? e.g. Free Silver Monthly Silver Quarterly Silver Yearly Gold Monthly Gold Quarterly Gold Yearly Usually when admins create/add packages into the system, they start from the lowest to the highest package (At least it's how I do) 3) Also, It would be good to be able to set another package as a default value on the post form other than the "Free package". User who doesn't check other options on the post form will just go for a free package. Trying to monetize the site, I would like to recommend my users a specif paid package (e.g. Sylver $5.00) and set it as a default value. Any Idea on how to set a default value on the post form? (Maybe based on the package ID). Many thanks for helping. |
