Popup a larger image on thumbnail hover

This modification will display a larger image when hovering on a photo thumb.  Click Here For Demo

Before I release this, I'd like to find a few brave individuals to install this on their own site, and see how it works.  Don't ask me to install it for you... not gonna happen. 

Installation of this will require you to:

1. Replace inc/params.inc.php    (Notice I said replace... not overwrite.  Rename the original to something like params.inc.php.original)

2. Replace modules/boonex/photos/templates/base/thumb.html  (Keep original file)

3. Upload plugins/jquery/jquery-jPreview.js (New file)

4. Upload templates/base/css/jPreview.css (New file)

5. Replace templates/base/scripts/BxBaseSearchResultSharedMedia.php (Keep original file)

6. Perform 2 simple edits on templates/base/_header.hml (Keep a backup copy)

*  No database changes are required.


If any of these directions seem confusing, you probably are the wrong person to test this.  If you do like this, and would like to give it a try, let me know, and I'll send you the required files and installation instructions.

If anybody that I send this to wants to try preloading the images, add this line to the end of modules/boonex/photos/templates/base/thumb.html

This will definitely slow down the loading of the page, but image previews will be shown instantly when hovering on a thumb, and when clicking through to the photo page, it will load much faster.  I have the number of thumbs per page set at 12, and the page load takes about 5-8 seconds.... which is acceptable to me, considering the benefits.  I don't think I'd want any more than 12 thumbs though.

This is a mod i have been wanting for such a long time.

If this mod is released for purchase, i would be among the first to buy.
