 Presently, you cannot use points to purchase store products. This is not a functionality of the mod.

can points be used to send gifts? ex. a rose is 10 points to send. a member clicks to send rose and 10 poits is deducted from the sending members account

 Yes, the mods are integrated to allow this functionality.

Ok, I'm confused. So, you updated the stand alone points mod with all the fixes up to v2.1.1, but you did not update the package?? The package contains patches up to v2.1.1.

Well, actually, I just re-installed, and this has not been fixed. None of the updates you released in the stand alone have been done with this...is that correct?

I also think it is not good to say its fixed as 2.1.1 even it is not and also a different one to the standalone version.

Modzzz said he wanted to do some more work on a change for the rewards module and then update this package. So why even mention it got 2.1.1?

Okay now i know it, but this makes me worry about future update handling here because i never know what i get from now on. Modzzz can you please change the update handling in the future. Better not update the pack if there is no update in it.Can you please update all packages same time? you just need repack with zip from standalone or?

You saw what problems i had with points 2.1.1 until we found out standalone is not same as this one here. If you never wrote 2.1.1 here then i would have known from the beginning.

So which code version is this really and when you make them equal to the other ones?

The product description page has been corrected to reflect the proper version. This support forum will be updated when the new version is released.

When do you plan on adding the fixes to the package? I've been trying to get things fixed and posted my errors in the "points forum". It appears you fixed them, but only for the stand alone?

Why are there two different support forums for the same module?

This support forum is for a combination of three modules (Points+Gifts+Rewards). The Points module has it's separate support forum. If you buy the package you should use this support forum. If you post in the Points forum, I assume you bought the Points mod only. As I explained before, I have not posted an update for this package as yet because I am currently making modifications to the Rewards mod which is also a part of this package. I will post an update shortly with just the Points update.

When I change the drop down select menu, nothing happens.

@modzzz: I have a problem, when configuring points for blogs. i do not get points for voting and also not for comments. also the member gets no points for both. i already removed your module even from the database and reinstalled the newest version, including running all sqlpoints.php from the other mods. can you tell me whats going wrong? for recipe module for example it works. maybe i missed deleteing some other data from the db?

Edit: just noticed, leaving an event also not triggers the points being subtracted. but i get points when i enter, even voting works. looks like either i have a problem or your code. where could be the problem?

This update does not work at all. No points are being counted for any actions I have tried so far.

This is a perfect example of why I asked if you could provide the updates as a standalone. I have no idea what changes were made....so, I cannot even revert back to a working version!

I replaced the new updated files with my old files. Still the same problem...no points are being collected. So, there must be an error within the database.

I installed  the new version again. After further review, it appears that the points are being calculated for some of the actions. I have not tested all of them. However, they are not showing as being updated on the following places:

1) Popup window that appears on top

2) Spy module activity

Furthermore, as mentioned previously I still can't do the following:

1) Modify Point Levels

2) Manage Levels

Removing and/or deleting things should subtract points. I deleted comments and friends and nothing is deducted from the points.

Hmmm for me also no activity.

This works for me, but i have the exact same problem with the gift modules admin page, i still wait for modzzz to tell me how to fix or a patch. I know whats wrong but cannot fix by myself. I guess you have the same problem in points.

What happens if you visit the following link on your server?

Can you see the level changing? If not check the html source of the admin page if there is some onchange event in the code, it looks like

does it exist like that? do you have set permission for levels folder to 777? the module files belong to owner www-data and have the right permissions too?

Actually, going there direct works, so there is probably an issue with the onchange event not working properly.

I can modify the gifts, just not change the category, it is always "ALL" and they are under each other, not in rows/cols. My gifts bug looks exactly the same as your points level bug.

But beside this i am more in a hurry for the points actions not working, because i cannot go online with my site until it is fixed. So i hope he can do this fast.

I really don't like this, i clicked again on "Report" :) I am used to have "Reply" at this location. Sorry "Matto".... I hope Boonex sees my post that it was an accident. Okay some info.

I found a way to workaround my problem with "Manage Gifts"! I can force the page to work (design and drop down) by deactivating "Points Support" in Gift settings. Looks like the two modules are not very compatible to each other (Gifts includes a points template file when activated, which breaks the code of the manage gifts page) or this package here is not updated for a long time and still uses old versions, i dont know. Hope this gets a real update soon anyway.

Modzzz: When you will update this package with the latest updates from the single packages? I have the single "point" package from you now, but in the future i would be happy i can be sure to get the latest version just by downloading this package here.

 Is there anyone that is experience that issue with the point mod? and how to fix the problem???? This issue start after Update to the new version 2.1.2 : it does not give point to people anymore. For example when some one login, join, rate, add picture or video and view another member profile..
All the setting look fine but it just don't generate the point to the members as it used to anymore.

anyone know how to set the points to send a gift, right now it is set at 2000 points as default i want it set to like 200

never mind i found how to change the default cost, but no i ordered some points as a test, and the charge went through with paypal but the points were not rewarded to the account

ok it looks like all orders are in the admin panel and pending till the admin approves them which sucks... but ok

here is my question is there a way to set it where a user is rewarded points when they receive a gift or drink?

 I think you could set this in the admin panel > Points settings ....

I am having different issues with rewards module (mentioned in rewards support forum) ... Do you have those issues too ?    I got the latest 2.0.5 version too.

man im dealing with one headache at a time, i havent even began with the rewards module yet,, im setting it up so my members can compete for christmas gift certificates,, i want to have members pressure other members for gifts and drinks,, i am alomst done just need to figure out how to set it to reward points with drinks and gifts

Do you plan on updating this points module? When admin deducts points, it's using the same template as donate points. Will this fix that issue? If yes, when can an update be expected?

 The mod was designed so that points are optionally deducted (not rewarded) when a gift or drink is sent.

 Premium Store mod is released that has the ability to use Points as method of payment.

If a member uses points to redeem rewards in which points action the member can see the amount of points subtracted?

 You will see a Rewards section on the Points history page.

I just tested it and the block appears after the member redeemed it, okay.

But i found some strange things/bugs in the whole process:

1) In one of the templates is a variable called "<Comment>" this is never being set and in the code are lots of functions which never being called regarding comments. I found this while searching for an option to cancel a reward order and tell the user the reason. Will you finish this code you started there so this will be possible?

2) When a user redeems an reward and later he wants another one of the same he gets the message directly it has been shipped. This seems to be a bug. Even in Reward Admin Panel it not shows a new order, it shows the item has being shipped 2 times now

3) When a user redeems an reward and admin confirms it in Reward Admin Panel with "Mark as shipped" then the user gets an status email "Completed" not "Shipped". In his Reward area he can see it both under shipped and completed but the Admin only sees it in "Shipped". So there is something wrong in the sending/workflow and status messages. Also what happens if the package couldn't being shipped and comes back? How i can cancel the order and give the member his points etc back and leave him a comment? Also the user should confirm he got the reward and then the status should change to completed. This is not working as expected at all and is a big mess in my eyes.

4) If the admin cancels an order then the member gets an email telling him it was canceled. The link in the email template to view his order is not valid anymore because the order does not exist anymore. Also this cancelled order doesnt show in Cancelled orders both on the user and admin site.

5) In Admin Panel the button "Mark as completed" should be moved to "Shipped orders" because after shipping there is no way for the admin to cancel this anymore (see point 3 when the package comes back etc.). If admin presses "Mark as completed" it only shows under completed, not under shipped. Very very confusing and later its not possible to reproduce the sending way exactly. There must really be a correct workflow on both sides

6) In BxRewardFormShipAdd.php i changed the shipping field postal code to be mandatory because in some countries its not possible to send without. I changed

Also you updated the other packages, when this combo gets updates? Will this be only update for 7.1 or will this mod still work under 7.09 then?

This mod is now updated for Dolphin 7.1. The package contains zip files for both old and new versions.

I sent you two emails with some problems i have after upgrading for 7.0.9

a) Points Mod: I get internal server errors when i click on some menus in Points Admin area

b) Gifts Mod: How members can send custom gifts? There is no place they can upload something. Is it because of the missing Design Gifts Block commented out in sqlupdate.php?
