This is the support forum for the Points/Credits Converter module

This module is updated for Dolphin 7.1

To solve an issue where Points are not assigned when converted from Credits, download the mod again and follow instructions below :

      In the "Converter_files" folder, find and upload sqlpoints.php to your Dolphin Root.

      Run http://www.yoursite.com/sqlpoints.php (change "yoursite" to your URL).

Added ability to restrict access to converter functionality based on membership level.

In the Points Module:

If we have different action values depending on the level a member achieves, based on gaining points, what happens if a member cashes in x points for y credits?

Does their membership level revert back to the lower ranking at (points - x)?

The level points are counted different from the spending points. It is the spending points that is exchanged. In the present version, level points continuously increases but do not decrease.

 The two way conversion is not possible presently.

Hi.

Firstly credits to points and points to credits issue. When converting points to credits or the other way around it deducts and increases the credits but the points never change value either way.

NOW is it possible to have the system work in this manor as I would like it to work like this:

(example) Purchase credits $1.00 = 100 credits, when converted = 100 points. (Redeemed) = 200 points, converted = 100 credits = (say) $0.70 with the ability to change rate ratio for exchanging credits to cash. Making it costing more points to redeem than it does to buy removing the option to purchase points directly with cash and only being able to convert points from or to credits and being able to set cash rate ratio to allow for credit to cash exchange. the way the system works at the moment given time the owner would be paying out more in cash as the system allocates points for everything which can be converted to eventually cash but there is no profit for the site owner for converting credits to cash meaning eventually as it gets busy the site owner losses out. So there has to be a happy medium so that the site owner can make some money as well to cover all the Paypal etc fees so we don't loss out.

With the ability to choose exchange rate ratio either way.

Now if I am understanding this all wrong please explain how the points/credits and convertor work as one so that they make sense either way without the site owner losing out in the end.

If you have any issues with the conversion process. Download the mod again and re-install it.

Added ability to set the conversion rate from points to credits differently than the rate from credits to points. A new option has been added to the settings section.

Points/Credits Converter Module  - This is now compatible with Dolphin 7.2 . For those upgrading from Dolphin 7.1, please check the upgrade folder for instructions.

Added ability to allow conversion only in one direction (eg. Points to Credits but not vise versa). A new option is added in the Admin Settings for this.

Noticed the credits balance on the pop up for the conversion will only show the thousands place. I checked it on your test site as well (see below). So as example I have a test account on our site that has 56,354 credits. It shows correctly on the credits block but when you pop up the conversion window it shows credits: 56

I assume just download the module again and swap the BxConverterModule.php is fine (no reinstallation needed)
