Photos Videos Music are not working

I just installed Dolphin 6.1 + Free Ray 3.5 + Orca 2.0 on my Debian Etch (apache2 + php5 + mysql 5) in /var/www/dolphin

Everything works fine during installation, but once I entered in my community and I clicke on Music, Videos or Photos links it shows me blank pages.

I checked and there is no directory called /var/www/dolphin/photos or /var/www/dolphin/videos or /var/www/dolphin/music.

Moreover there is another problem. Every user should have his own directory under the installation path (Ex. /var/www/dolphin/user1 ) but this directory hasn't been created.

Someone can help me?

Did I miss anything?

Thanks a lot

I'm wondering if I did wrong something into configuration or if there are some additional modules.

Anyone had my same issue?

Yes, I had the same problem and the solution was that inside the httpd.conf file I must uncomment the line LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so (remove the pound '#' sign from in front of the line)

Thanks a lot, I solved now. :)

Where is the httpd.conf file located?

Location depends on your linux and apache type, but something like this for example:

/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

Generally you wont be able to touch this in a shared hosting environment. Vps or dedicated server/box with root access would be necessary.

If you have shared hosting all you can do is nicely ask a host about it. Most likely they wont be too willing to change much but never hurts to ask. Mod rewrite is fairly common plenty of host do have it enabled by default.

ok in some respect you guys are correct, but if mod_rewrite engine was not on, then getting a blank page if you were running with permalinks on would have most likely dealt you a 404 page not found. this is a strange situation as everything was working, vids, audio, photos, then it is my belief that a mod was installed some profile modifier, but the author of that mod denies that his mod caused the problem. but anyways, this is not something to do with mod_rewrite engine being enabled on this case.

if you care to take a look at the situation. i think mrpowless has taken a look and thought it to be attributed to some modification to the site. the last mod that was done to the site was the mod for the profiles, and that is where i think the trouble lies. i could be wrong, but logic tells me that the photos, music and video are tied to the users profiles. well just thought i would push this on here and see what it got me.
