PayPal - YECH!

I saw it for a minute. Some talk about different ways to collect money from within Dolphin but it all seems to have vanished. Why is everyone so hung up on PayPal?

Has anyone ever heard the term "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely"? PayPal is ABSOLUTELY CORRUPT. It is a WORLD corporation that doesn't have to follow any of the banking rules and regulations set out by the major countries like the US or the UK. Money is regularly 'held' or 'lost' or just stolen from people through this organization from innocent individuals just trying to do business from all over the world on a freaking daily basis!

They are trying to position themselves as top dog in the coming 'New World Order"

The Market here has a lot of great mods. Some of which I want to buy but lately I can't seem to get that done. I refuse to create an account with PayPal in order to make that happen. I am appalled by how many of you just sit idly by continuing to put your money at risk (and your financial welfare) by allowing this bag of criminals to process your credit card charges.

I have noticed a change recently. Used to be I could select from the payment page to NOT create an account with PayPal and just make my purchase outside their system. That option has just disappeared. NOW, every time I try to pay for something, I am asked at the bottom of the page to 'enter a password to create a new PayPal account' If I don't enter a password, it will not process my purchase.

I would really like to see other ways of paying. Especially here at Unity. I want a choice. Just about anybody's online credit card processing system would be better than PayPal's

I WILL NOT make a purchase here any longer if I am forced to use PayPal to do it.

I am hoping Boonex will add Google checkout. Easy to use and totally painless! (no hoops to jump through)

Ive been screwed by PP before a number of years ago...

I used to run an overstock business on the side, main outlet was ebay - selling games, DVDs etc..

Just a part time thing.

I would buy overstock and return stock by the pallet, with a single invoice for say 2000 items.

I would then sell them individually on ebay of course using PP.

Then after about 2 years of trading, and with zero notice, PP decided to 'freeze' my account, and ask me to provide individual invoices for each and every item sold within the last 6 months in order to unfreeze the account!

The account had about 2.5k in it at the time...

I wrote letters, made endless phone calls trying to explain the situation but never never got anywhere. I would just endlessly be sent running round in circles...

In the end, the account was written off and all the money lost. I stopped the business also...

At the time, I did a lot of searching and found forums setup that were dedicated for people who had been ripped off by PP. There were thousands of cases just like mine. 

PP must be making millions just through this 'method'...

Unfortunately, I still use them, especially on Dolphin.

Give me google checkout, or another that is as widespread and easy to use though and I will switch!

I've posted on the notes the idea of ​​google checkout for dolphin, but only 3 comments in 12 days If nobody does anything to change this.. this not change...

This is the problem in this world today. No one wants to get involved or do anything even though they are sure where there's smoke, there's fire. It's always good idea to wait until IT HAPPENS TO YOU BEFORE TAKING ACTION! (idiots!)

That's how our crooked politicians get and stay elected. It's worked so far so why the hell not?

One of my friends lost 30k+ to almost exactly the same thing that daihlo explained. He also never got any of it back.

PayPal does NOT have to follow any semblance of banking regulation because they are an offshore corp (probably on a frikkin yacht somewhere) and there's no real way to enforce any rules.

As a Dolphin user, I refuse to use PayPal. Boonex needs to give us reliable and usable options. They exist. You just need to search them out. Are all of you aware that most banking institutions have ways to allow you to accept credit card payments online? Ask them!
