PayPal Payflow Pro Module - Recurring Billing

I need to know if the PayFlow module's “PayPal Recurring Billing” will work with a direct Credit Card payment (not requiring a user to log in to PayPal first).

In testing, The “PayPal (subscription)” option in the cart always redirects to a Express Checkout page that requires PayPal account login or creation of a PayPal account (see attached screen grabs). We don’t want users to be forced to have a PayPal account to subscribe to the site under a recurring billing agreement.

Questions:
  1. Is requiring the subscriber to have a PayPal account the intended functionality of the “PayPal Recurring Billing/PayPal (subscription)” purchase option?
  2. If no, why am I seeing this requirement, is the lack of site SSL causing this redirect to Express Checkout?
  3. If no, what is?

Answering these questions would be very helpful to me and my client.

Hello

Current integration of Recurring Payments allows to pay using PayPal account only (Payflow Express Checkout). We'll integrate payment using CC in the next version.

Greetings Anton,

I looked at your workflow and am wondering when the Recurring Payments using PayPal for non-PayPal card holders will be available? I know that PayPal wants Business accounts to purchase their $20US/month plan to make things work on their end.  Ugg..

Thank you for your insights regarding your workload schedule.

Tom
