I need to know if the PayFlow module's “PayPal Recurring Billing” will work with a direct Credit Card payment (not requiring a user to log in to PayPal first).
In testing, The “PayPal (subscription)” option in the cart always redirects to a Express Checkout page that requires PayPal account login or creation of a PayPal account (see attached screen grabs). We don’t want users to be forced to have a PayPal account to subscribe to the site under a recurring billing agreement.
Questions:
- Is requiring the subscriber to have a PayPal account the intended functionality of the “PayPal Recurring Billing/PayPal (subscription)” purchase option?
- If no, why am I seeing this requirement, is the lack of site SSL causing this redirect to Express Checkout?
- If no, what is?
Answering these questions would be very helpful to me and my client.
