Hi
This is a job resquest - for some reason I cannot post a job in the market because the drag/ drop function does'nt want to work (using Chrome/ IE10), so I'm posting here instead.
I'm looking for someone to modify the PayPal code in Modzzz Gigs 7.1 to allow the interation of PayPal's Adaptive Payments.
Specifically, I need the code modified so that payment can be split between the vendor (member who posts a service) and administrator.
This is the Parallel Payment method - please see this link:
https://cms.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=developer/e_howto_api_APIntro
Currently, the payment is sent to Administrator and a manual transfer must be made to the vendor.
Thanks
Richard

ooppssss. hit the report button insted of the reply button lol.... sozzz guys....
Anyway, I so need this too for a module I am desiging. I was looking at the idea of having to invoice the cistomer for my % of profits, but This sounds like a much better option.
I was not aware that this was possible with paypal.
I need it so that when a donation is made the payment is split between two paypal accounts....

Due to the restrictive UK laws regarding holding deposit/ acting as an escrow service/ employment law, I cannot accept a payment on my site, then manually transfer the payment (less commission %) to the vendor (member who posted the gig).
Parallel payments alllows the initial payment to split at source, meaning that Admin is paid for his service as a facilitator, and the vendor is paid for the service carried-out.

Yeah, I also think this is a BIG issue with Modzzz Gigs mod .... I have seen others asking Modzzz before if this could be changed so that the vendor gets payment initially with the admin fee following ...
In one way It don't make sense to me why admin is paid and then has to pay vendor ... I can also see gigs was made so that if the vendor does not complete service the customer could receive payment back without issue!

Funny timing... Im just working with PP adaptive payments on a WP site Im building!
Really want this integrated into a 'donations' module for D also...
I have Modzzz premium donations mod, but this doesnt do adaptive payments, it instead gets buyer to pay admin, then admin has to manually process payment to seller with % automatically removed.
This is fine for a few transactions... but if you're looking at a fundraising site, with potential of hundreds of micro transactions a day... thats a huge amount of work to keep on top of!
PP adaptive payments is automatic. It will split a payment as it is made and deposit %/% into the seller and admin account automatically. No work required by admin to follow up...
I really really really want this built into a fundraiser module for D!
Until then, I am having to look at adapting WP buddypress to do what Dolphin does for communities...
I would be willing to club together with others to get this developed for D though if anyone else is interested?

I also have Modzzz Premium Donations, in addition to his Gigs module.
Lets get someone on the case for both modules - Modzzz is too busy updating his modules to 7.1 at the moment, so who else can help?
Can someone post a job for each one, as I cannot due to some reason - I've asked admin here to take a look before.
Anyone who also needs these jobs doing, please add your name so that we can discuss getting these done ASAP.
If the cost is reasonable, I'll pay for all of it then ask you all for a nominal amount to cover your part.

Jerome pm'd me, saying both gigs and donations are being updated with adaptive payments after he finishes updating rest of his mods to 7.1.
Not sure on time frame.
I posted a job offer for a 'crowdfunding' type module with adaptive payments, basically outlined a module that would do kickstarter/indigogo for dolphin but payments would go out straight away instead of being held in admin account - this would complicate some regional laws!
Have had one offer and asked for quote and timeframe for the job. Will let you know reply.
If you want me to post a job offer for gigs update, can you pm me the info needed as I don't have this module.

Be sure to deal only with trusted developers. I had someone once to say they would take a job for $60.00; half up front. Then he changed to $120.00 all up front. I told him no of course. There are scammers even in the Dolphin community; they will take your money and then you may never see any product.
Geeks, making the world a better place |
yeah, Im aware of this.
this developer has mods on market though so is established here.
Thanks
let me know if you're interested in the development!

Has anyone made any progress on this yet?
I asked Wayne at global web concepts to take a look, but he hasn't responded yet.
It's been a couple of weeks now, so I'm looking for someone else to get this done.

Hi Richard, I will check on the offers I had for this as a job posting and get back to you asap.
pm me your email, that way once things are being confirmed with developers who quoted this, I can setup a 3 way email so you can be linked direct.
