I change to a new web hosting company called Arvixe because the offered Boonex as a Fantastico plug-in and play; however, I am now getting the following page errors:

Not Found

The requested URL /index/blogs/top was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Did you move your existing site to the new host? If so, then the path to your root web directory is most likley different in which case your would need to change $dir['root'] in inc/header.inc.php.

I think there are some other things that need to be changed also when a site is moved. Off the top of my head i can't remember them.

But someone else here most likely knows.

No, I decided not to take that risk.  So, I started from scratch; preferring to use the plug-in and play facility.  Because I've not changed anything, there must be some other installation bugs.

If someone can help, please help.  I want to get the website up in the next 24hrs.

Ask host to enable mod_rewrite

show them a copy of your .htaccess

to work on site till then ...uncheck boxes in admin/settings/permalinks and save...recheck when they say its ready.

what its trying to do:

rewriting   profile.php?ID=34 to username
