This version take a long time to load.  Not very sure others are experiencing the same thing.

I am finding that the page load is on the dangerous side of slow, I will hold back showing anyone at this stage, as I can already hear their response.

I if it like that with 100 members & 5 online, then 100,000 members & 5,000 online will never happen.

Only early in Alpha, so this will be fixed by final release stage.

Boonex

"On the back-end Hookie has received proper attention as well. We moved all major modules to separate folders and re-written code to separate them. We added caching to most of the "power hungry" pages; introduced standardized forms; integrated jQuery and optimized DB queries."

"... speed and security. Although we made quite a few improvements, we still plan to use professional services of MySQL consultants and security verification consultants to improve the script when all features are in."

For it loads slower in IE 7 than it does on Firefox 3 on a PC.

I made a little test, I've found that Dolphin 6 front page had about 685kb in size and Dolphin 7 front page has 1,63 MB in size..

Font page:

D6: external files - 3 css files and 10 javascript files

D7: external files - 17 css files and 30 javascript files

There's no wonder the loading time is bigger..

In conclusion D7 is 3 times slower than D6..
