PRIVACY ON PROFILES!

hi all! some people! dolphin want to work as follows:

that all user profiles can be seen any more for folks, not others!

or may make this optional! but the administrator chooses this by default.

I agree.  The privacy settings are confusing and need to be simplified.

Agree. I made a ticket some time ago. Some labels and block titles was changed to be more comprehensive. But the main problem is still here: there is no option to set the profile to Private, only contents.

This truly needs to be addressed:

Public Profile (open to anyone to view and interact)

Only Friends

Friends and friends of friends

Private (NOBODY can view or interact with profile)

Same applies to the interaction tools (spy, contact, greetings, etc.).

"Invite a Friend" should offer the option for this feature to be available to members only as well.

This is really basic stuff, and I'm sure that such a powerful script would really benefit from it.

It would be fantastic if such privacy options are even displayed on the join/registration form....

Also, the "Subscribe" box needs to add a check box for subscribers to agree to "privacy policy" (link to privacy policy included, of course). Without ticking the box, no subscription....

While it is understandable that the above may not be required in many countries, it really is becoming the norm--in the EU, for example.

This is such a remarkable script, why not give us these options?

Should take a look at available out-of-the-box privacy settings in phpFox 2.0 (RC4)....

Sorry but I don't have time to search it... I'm quite sure of that such ticket was made and already solved... As far as I can understand the code, I think that Profile Privacy was added here: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/changeset/13016
