PHP Memory Limit error... :-((

Still having problems with initial setup.

I fixed my "redirect loop" error, but now I'm having problems accessing my site's main community page: click here

I get the following error:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 58720256) (tried to allocate 51904515 bytes) in /my/site/public_html/WS/SOCIAL/templates/base/scripts/BxBaseIndex.php on line 1406

I created a php.ini file to increase the PHP memory limit in the /scripts directory -- and every directory above it, just in case -- but I'm still getting that error. Note, I'm able to access my Admin panel still. Just not the main site any more.

I had just added a new user and created their profile. Before that, I added two polls and two news articles. Nothing fancy -- no funky characters or anything unusual in any field. What could be causing this, please...?

And good grief, is there a way to be autonotified when someone replies to my posts here? I haven't been able to figure that out. (Trying to "flag" one keeps telling me to log in -- but I already am logged in.)

Thanks for your help.

you need to set memory limit to 128M

I am not sure it will be possible in .htaccess - but anyway - after changing you need to check your phpinfo file

Thanks. However, I was just about to post / edit my post to say that I've already increased the limit to 256M before posting here. (And it wasn't using .htaccess, it was by creating a new php.ini as I mentioned, as that's the only way my host allows.)

Any other suggestions...? :)

Crap. My phpinfo.php isn't working -- I'm getting a "403 forbidden error" in that directory.

:-/

I've chmod'd phpinfo.php to 755, and the /scripts directory was already 755.
