Outline items

OK! Who made the outline items THAT BIG!!?!?!?!!

It must have been a man, but I am tellin ya, it needs to be different.

Did you guys make a way to do that in the new tools or do we have to fiddle again?

With responsive template for mobiles they need to look big, infact they are a bit smaller for me( some space is wasted around the pictures, video). you can try to compare both demo.boonex.com outline and 7.2 outline in mobile. You will get the answer :)

This is the Boonex concept that a web site should look the same on both a 27" monitor and a 5" cell phone display.  If you don't like it, I guess you just have to get a smaller screen.

Don't worry.... it can all be changed via custom templates.

I hate to break it to anyone but this is NOT boonex making this call - unless you would rather they make a script that generates poor SEO for its users.

Perhaps you don't know this but google recently announced that they will test all websites for responsive mobile friendly web design. If your design is not a responsive mobile ready design and instead has separate themes for mobile and web, this will count against you.

You can test your website to see if its mobile ready at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/

This is why boonex is switching to a responsive design.... not because "they decided"

You haven't been paying attention.  It most certainly IS Boonex making the call that what you see on a 27" monitor be limited to what can be displayed on a tiny cell phone display.  Just because you want a site to look good on cell phones, doesn't mean all the grown ups with real computers should be punished by making their 27" monitor look like a giant cell phone.  That was a Boonex choice... NOT Googles.

Show me where Google says this.  Most of the mobile friendly sites on the planet use this method.

What google has pubically said is they "prefer" all designs be responsive. They have also said that "at this point" that is NOT a requirement simply having a mobile site will suffice for now....

If you do a search for "google responsive vs mobile websites" you will begin to see why there are petitions to google to stop this preference before it becomes a requirement.  For example http://mshopper.com/google-to-amend-its-mobile-website-recommendation/

You will also find countless articles talking about it such as http://blog.dudamobile.com/google-seo-responsive-websites-vs-mobile-websites/ or perhaps http://www.epagecity.com/blog/responsive-adaptive-mobile-websites

You can find the google video to developers about mobile friendly sites at http://www.business2community.com/seo/google-releases-webmaster-video-make-mobile-friendly-site-01101542

And the new specs as of this past april for mobile http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2015/02/finding-more-mobile-friendly-search.html

And the developers quick start guide https://developers.google.com/webmasters/mobile-sites/get-started/?utm_source=wmc-blog&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=mobile-friendly

And the developers guide https://developers.google.com/webmasters/mobile-sites/?hl=en

Countless news broadcasts have reported about and SEO firms as well. This is the best article talking about where and when google said this. http://searchengineland.com/google-finally-takes-a-clear-stance-on-mobile-seo-practices-123543

I could go on and on :)

Is there a 'Reader's Digest' version of your post?  I really don't want to sift through countless pages, to find where:

If... separate themes for mobile and web, this will count against you.

Google has historically declared "This is the way things will be" on numerous occasions, and on numerous occasions, they have been full of shit.  As much as the egotistical folks at Google, Apple, Microsoft, and others like to believe they are in control of shaping the internet, they are not.  The countless millions of internet users are inevitably the ones that decide what's a good thing, and what isn't.  There are many millions of mobile friendly sites that are not going to redo everything just because some skinny Google geek thinks that's the way it should be. History may prove me wrong, but I don't think it will. Now excuse me while I see what's going on with my Google Wave sandbox.

its ok, I fixed boonex's idea of style on a 27in screen, Now on a normal screen I have 5 items in a row nicely fitting and it still has the two items on ipad and 1 item row on mobile, tested it on different devices and it still looks good.

bth

profile fields doesn't work. it works for the pre-made fields but any fields I have made doesn't save, it just hangs there doing nothing until I eventually refresh and northing has saved.

Could you share how you fixed this needed change.

I did the changes in wall module  outline.css I can't get the exact place because I removed 7.2 because it was just unworkable at the moment. Perhaps I got a copy that hadn't had all the bugs fixed. I saved the template I made tho so when 7.2 is more workable I can apply it.
