Orca "forums index" box

I need to set my "forums index" box to have  four columns instead of one, have a look here and you will see what I am trying to fix I think    http://www.rangerschat.com/forum/

also how can i get these buttons in my forums index like boonex has?... see attached

Check the templates in /modules/boonex/forum/layout/base/xsl/

After modifying you need to recompile the languages for your changes to become effective.

I checked for you and its not in layout/base but in integrations/base

Open the file design.php and look for the function getBlockCode_ShortIndex(). I think you might recognise that.

I tried like 3 times to get it,, didnt work out, said to hell with it.

I like most people but especially those who buy my modules and leave reviews. I try to help everyone but tend to help those people even more. I could therefore think of situations whereby I would customise one of my modules to do just that what you need.

In other words... If you buy my forum module I'll add that change, as a one off, for free.

Forgot about this post,, so you are saying if i buy your module you will edit and set my forums index box to look correct?  .. seen the module it looks cool not sure I need it but if buying it is what it takes to get my forums layout to look right then I will do it... 2 of my sites are gonna be forum heavy ... rangerschat and reefmasters.. so I need these forums to look right and and fucntion like PROFESSIONAL sites do! lol

That is what I'm saying. I'll make the modifications for you as part of your module.

If your sites are going to be "forum heavy" I certainly would recommend my forum solution. The pagination is done by limiting the records pulled from the DB, very usefull for large topics, etc, since you do not load the full topic, but only the posts displayed on that page.

Now this is the kind of vendor that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.  There are not many vendors here that would help out by making changes in the module like this.  I brought one module and found out it was not adding to the SPY and OUTLINE and the vendor said $60.00 to add what I feel should be in all "content" modules; "content" modules are modules where the members of the site add content to the site for other members to read and see

Denre, would you be interested in a job; I could probably figure out the SPY and Outline by looking at other modules that have it but I am just so busy and it has already been stated that we can offer such jobs legally.

To the OP, my apologies for the hijack.

If people request small modifications to modules they have bought of me, I'm always willing to do this. However, complete new functionality is a different story. If I believe it to be usefull for everyone, I'll add it in a next release, else it will be custom work, and charged equally. The way you describe your issue, I totally agree it should have been done in a future release (since it was advertised like that), but the asking price of $60 for such a modification would normally be very reasonable.

I'm always interested in jobs, but this doesn't mean I take on every job offered. Nevertheless, people are always welcome to PM me when they need help.
