Orca forum troubles.

We have a problem with the forums working correctly.
When going to forums home we get this error at the top of the page: id="body" onload="if(!document.body) { document.body = document.getElementById('body'); }; h = new BxHistory(); document.h = h; return h.init('h'); "
It will not allow to post a reply or make a new topic. We have recompiled languages and updated the entire site to 7.0.9

it still has the same trouble even when we switch to the uni template. Anyone with the knowledge to help or have experienced a similar problem, please let me know.

We have attempted to submit a ticket, but are unable to find where to do this.

Thank you,

Bill and Deb

The browser saw that code snippet as text and sent it to the display.  Perhaps the file got corrupted in the upgrade.  You could try uploading the files again.  Not much help I know.  BTW: don't try reinstalling the forum as it will delete everything.

Oh, you said error, did it actually display an error or did it just output the text in blue?

We had this trouble before the upgrade. We already uninstalled and reinstalled the forums as well.
Both of these were done at the advice of others here.
You are correct, the text only shows at the top of the page, it does not say error...

Just uninstalling/reinstalling the forum would not help if the files have gotten corrupted.  Grab a fresh copy of 7.0.9 and then upload the forum module only and make sure to upload the files using binary transfer.  Might not help but then at least you will know the files are OK and can then proceed from there.

As I said, the browser is probably seeing that snippet of code as text and sending it as text to the display.

Another helpful thing for us to look at would be your "Site Audit" page maybe. A screenshot.

Obviously it was working before your upgrade right?

No, we had this trouble before the upgrade. We upgraded at the suggestion of others here at boonex.

Surely someone has an idea for this trouble...

Not without more information, you don't even give us a domain name to look at.  Perhaps if we could do something as simple as viewing the source of the page.  We do know this much, if this EXACT same thing was happening before then the upgrade did not change what was causing the problem.

I'm so sorry, the domain is www.friendlyfantasy.com
It is an adult site, that's why I didn't just throw it out there.
I know the upgrade didn't affect it, that's why I am posting this.
We have tried everything we know and still not working.
