Orca forum

I'm running a wamp system (yeah, windows; but just for testing...) and I've worked through most of my install issues with some help from the forum here, but I can't seem to make the forum on my system come to life. I've looked through the dolphin and orca forums, and it seems if the Dolphin installs fine, orca should be fine. All I'm getting when I select the forums menu link or the admin>plugins>OrcaForum is the index:

   Index of /dolphin/orca

  • ParentDirectory
  • cachejs/
  • classes/
  • conf/
  • inc/
  • index.php
  • js/
  • layout/
  • license.txt
  • log/
  • xml/

I've even tried installing orca by itself into the dolphin/orca folder, but no go. There must be some PHP .ini or apache config I'm missing. If I click the index.php, the forum starts, but  I only get the following:

[L[Forums Index]] ([L[Manage Forum]] [L[Compile Langs]]: en )

[L[Forums]] [L[Topics]] [L[Latest Post]] [L[Forums Spy]]
I've seen a post or two that says click the en to install a language, but when I click the en, I get an error that states:
[L[Language files compilation have been failed]]

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance...

Orca need some more server settings, like xslt and mbstring search on this items I think you will find what you need. Also check the permissions in groups and orca maps.

Thanks killerhai,

I checked both xslt and mbstring;  They are both installed.

XSL enabled
libxslt Version 1.1.23
libxslt compiled against libxml Version 2.6.32
EXSLT enabled
libexslt Version 0.8.13

PHPInfo revealed:

XSL  enabled
libxslt Version  1.1.23
libxslt compiled against libxml Version  2.6.32
EXSLT  enabled
libexslt Version  0.8.13

and:

Multibyte Support  enabled
Multibyte string engine  libmbfl
Multibyte (japanese) regex support  enabled
Multibyte regex (oniguruma) version  4.4.4
Multibyte regex (oniguruma) backtrack check  On

Directive                                Local       Master
mbstring.detect_order             no value  no value
mbstring.encoding_translation  Off          Off
mbstring.func_overload           0             0
mbstring.http_input                 pass        pass
mbstring.http_output               pass        pass
mbstring.internal_encoding      no value  no value
mbstring.language                  neutral    neutral
mbstring.strict_detection         Off          Off
mbstring.substitute_character  no value  no value

I don't think the rest of dolphin will install without xslt and mbstring, but is it possible I have a directive set wrong or some version issue?  Also, for testing I've got all my attrib permissions set  to read/write in my htdocs folder.

This happened to me also. I got it working by going to the admin/plugin/orca page first, clicking on the 'en' then copying all files from this folder (orca/classes) into a newly created folder in (groups/orca/classes/en)

Once you copy all those languge files into this folder it should correct the issue.
