I to am having the same problem. I just added the new Patch and now I get a blank screen when I click the Forum tab in the main tool bar. Prior to the patch I at least got some assenmblance of the forum albiet non functioning.

Maybe I should just download the new package as a whole and install that, or does it matter?

PHP Functions --> mb_Strings needs to be installed, I think. It is definately a PHP CONFIGURATION issue NOT script issue.

Sounds great but where do I find this php if it wasn't in the install? Is it something I need to contact my host about?

It's wierd since before the upgrade I was getting a forum window, but once I upgarded it's gone.

If mbstring was not installed than the old script would not have worked either. mbstring is a dolphin requirement.

I have a couple of minor issues as well, but after i cleared my browser cache, all was fine. Other than the admin images being in the wrong folder, the upgrade went very smooth for me. All is working fine.
