On install am getting fileinfo needed

Last night I uploaded Dolphin 7.4.2, and looked at the install page. Today I went back to install it and get the message:

fileinfo extension isn't installed. Warning! Dolphin can't work properly without it.

Fileinfo ext. is already installed, why am I getting this message now when everything was fine last night?

How do I fix this?

I just tried to install on another domain, got the same error. Both sites are on servers using PHP 7.2, fileinfo ext installed.

I found the problem. In the .htaccess file I commented out the following: php_flag allow_url_include Off php_flag register_globals Off and this solved the problem. According to the server tech it seems that this was forcing the site to run on php5, giving me the error.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
