Oh Andrew or AlexT.. Moderator Question

Andrew,

I noticed since the new Unity, we can no longer 'moderate' market reviews. Is this something that was meant to be done or overlooked after the update?

Just curious :)

Why would you moderate market reviews? Are you saying If someone posts a negative opinion that you disagree with you would edit or delete it?

It's most likely to remove posts that don't belong there. There are a large number of people who apparently do not know what the reviews are for and ask for support using the reviews system. Improper use of the reviews.

 silverado,

what they are referring to is that in some cases, there have been support requests placed on the product in the market, when this area is dedicated to reviews of the product, and should not be used for support requests or modification requests.

each product in the market is supposed to setup a forum thread in order to support the specific product and that is what they are trying to do here. have the reviews section depict true reviews of the product.

so it would be the buyer of the product listed by the sellar of the product, who is responsible for creating a support forum here for that product.

I was only kidding. If a review is justified, it has every right to remain, and it will. If a review doesn't belong, like it was misplaced, then it will be removed.

The reason why I asked this was to be able to remove spam post and comments that are not considered reviews. A perfect example is a well respected seller on the Market had every single one of his market products comments with a 'BEWARE blah blah bah' post that made absolutely no sense at all.

There are many times when a seller will contact a moderator asking to remove a comments/spam that does not belong. I have never, and will not, remove a legitimate review regardless if its positive or negative.

Hope that clarifies everything.
