Off the grid for a while

Due to a stupid mistake on my part and the fact that i did not keep recent backups, i have to rebuild my site.

I dropped the main database for my site and now i have to rebuild. So i will be off the grid for awhile.

Guess i need to get more sleep.

Yipes!   When it happens to the pros, it makes the rest of us feel less bad.   That sucks though. 

It can happen to anyone. And i always stress backups. I don't even follow my own suggestions half the time. Which is why i am stuck now.

I need to get a automatic backup in place.

Anyhow. My site is back up. I just need to get all of my mods installed.

Problem is i was working on a new module and the tables for it i did not get saved into my installer yet. So i have to now piece those back together from the errors that pop up as i try to run it. That new one will be a pain in my A$$

Most of my mistakes are late at night when I am tired.

Sorry to hear about that.  What about recovery tools? 

I had a member's blog to disappear; still not sure how it happened.  I had the system backing up the database but I foolishly had it overwriting the backup each night.  It was just dumb luck I had a backup off the server and the member only lost a few blog posts.  New policy is to backup to a different name each night using the time stamp.

An oops can happen to anyone.

It will happen to anyone when fully exhausted , take a little rest before working on your site..
