OK, Google is...

Google is starting to freak me out! 

I went to search and see a nice birthday graphic thinking OK, who's besides mine that's cool.

It was to me! Freaky, they really are getting in there deep.

So deep into our lives...  We don't need the NSA. 

Its not really a big matter. You gave them your DOB. You give your DOB on dolphin sites too. Nothing really to freak on this one. You can freak on other things if you wish, like google and facebook tracking everywhere you go on the web, every product you browse and stuff.

This is damn great idea actually... :)

I have the free birthday thing that sends out a birthday card in the email to members, maybe having a happy birthday block on their profile or account page might be a good idea.

I was working on some code that has different welcoming for members that login based on the time of day ... I will have to get it finished!

example: 7:00 am  = Good Morning 'Josh' ... Welcome back!

 I use that too, but what I found that works great for members to keep up with birthdays is the 3col module.

Newton, I reworked Andrew's free birthday module so that on the Home Page it shows all upcoming birthdays.  On a member's account page, there is a block that just shows your friend's upcoming birthday.  I also added the birth date without the year; so member's age is kept private.  So it shows a list of your friends that have birthdays today, and then the upcoming friends with birthdays and the date so you will know that their birthday is in three days on the 5th.  I would have shared that but my account does not allow posting to the market; so the Boonex community loses out.  We had a site where we were posting free modules but the guy disappeared on me and his site got hijacked to a porn one; lots of work went down.  I don't know what happened to the guy and he did not return my email.

Nobody else think its slightly disturbing that 'google' - a company who gets to know EVERYTHING about everybody online is buying up all the major robotics companies which also happen to be contracted to providing developments in this area for the US Army!...

Arn't you login as Michael ? its an old thing now. Best way to do search on google is logout n search in private mode :p but still they can track your browsing history by cookies & DNS server 8.8.8.8 if you use it.  I got question related to google search in dolhpin . From where to edit its setting ? cause i want to change the size of search page its too small plus on picture page it is showing pics out of border line :/
