No wonder

I am beginning to understand now why so many internet users get viruses and trojans and how these viruses and trojans travel around the net so easily.  All this talk about adding images and HTML markup to SMTP messages; a protocol that has no security, outlines it very well.  I have always operated my email client in plain text mode, the mode that emails should be sent in.  I think a lot of the problems with viruses and trojans would stop if mail servers were programmed to strip out all HTML markup before sending on email messages; one could still get attachments of course.

Email was not even designed for sending files(attachments) either. Email was originally designed for sending messages only. The protocol has not really changed over the years. It was not really meant for any of the things it is currently being used for.

The Internet is full of spam. Most e-mail can be deleted from the inbox without even opening.

If people had to pay to send out their drivel, maybe that would lessen the receiving of needless electronic signatures and freely wandering worms.

Viruses and trojans are commonly coming not from emails, but from "xxx" sites. Solution: get normal linux/mac computer, not M$. Window$ had and will have viruses, there's no panacea for it.

Having mac and linux systems for years, still no problems with viruses. The only bad thing is that S.J. is gone and Apple is out of control of their products since then..

About emails... People are naturally curious, especially what's inside the dark box, so they click all received files to "see those free hot pictures of butt and tits". They should have showing file extensions enabled and learn that files like "MyBigBoobs.jpg.exe" is better to leave alone. That's the main factor from my experience.

Yes, I have read about the new adverts that hide trojans but they have infected people on sites other than porn.  The bad thing is that just visiting the site can install the virus or trojan on the computer, no clicking on the advert necessary.

I had a chance to meet Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak way back in the beginning as they lived where I did in Silicon Valley and Los Gatos CA. Steve was a very driven person and those that did not know him or his genius would certainly call him am ass. Doing so, however, only shows the short sided character of the person making the claim.

i think now computer based operating system should also introduce function like we got in android to allow which app to perform which action and which IP it is connecting to.
