No privacy in Video chat

I started my video camera in the chat room, in main lobby and when everyone started to watch me I though wouldn't it be nice if you could block people from viewing you and just allow people you would like to view you. I went and made a private chat room with a password and invited someone in with me. I again started my video camera and people from the main chat room started watching again.

What is the point of a private chat room if people in the main lobby can view the video cam in the private room?

Does anyone have a clue about this.

Thanks

My thought is that you have to make sure your vid is not running in one room when you are in another.  I have used software like the one dolphin has but I use a different chat altogther because of the privacy concerns.  I have looked all over and cannot find where members would have to approve others to watch their cam.  The software program I use is much better and allows the client many more privileges and more control.  I tried to use the kick feature but it does nothing.  It's okay if you have a moderator in constantly watching it but if you don't, like me, then you are better off using some other chat software.

Wow thats nearly 3 years old and not fixed? I just found this bug too and wanted to write a report. Tried to find a solution but nothing helps. The only thing you can do is

1) Stop the video

2) Navigate to another page so you leave the chat totally and all video windows are forced to close on other peoples chat

3) Go back to the chat, enter a private room, leave all other rooms/channels and only then start your video.

This really needs to be fixed.
