Nginx as RTMP server

Is it possible to use Nginx as RTMP server instead of the RMS ?

Red5 seemed overly complicated and heavy and in written in Java.

I like to say that anything is possible if you're skilled or have deep pockets. The Flash apps are written for RMS/Red5 and have components on the RMS end to support their features. You'll need to hire somebody if you're not sure how to switch out to another media server.

But RMS isn't really that complicated - it's mostly a set-and-forget kind of deal. It would be much less work to setup RMS than to switch over to something else. If you're having issues with it, I can take a closer look.
