News Items.. Add/Edit functionality

Hi Folks,

OK I may be going nuts here..but in the list of available options under membership levels ( add .delete,view group x etc), I can only see a News DELETE option. Then I realized the only place I seem to be able to add NEWS items is in the admin panel. Is there something missing here? Is this by design as I would like to allow certain membership types/levels to be given those options. Maybe this is by design or a bug?

Can anyone enlighten me. Maybe I am missing something here..

Currently only the Admin can add site news. The same goes for Articles unless that was recently changed in RC3, but I dont think so.

Not changed in version RC3... 
I hope this will be changed in the next versions. 
Now we have as admins t make all the  content, thats not right at all  :(

That's a relic from the moderation ssytem they had in place from Alpha.  If you look at the sys table that controls it you can see the numbering change and they just missed that one when taking out moderator settings out.  Don't worry about it as news can only be added via admin panel.

Well thats not good ;).. that only admin can add news. I need members ( at some level) to be able to add news and articles too. Or at least allow   add/edit/delete  functions for news/articles to be configurable for any membership type/level.

Are there plans to correct this?
