New boonex.com site - part 2

You have very old iOS version, I believe that you can update your device to iOS 8, then everything should fit nicely.

Yes... see the 3 attached image files :-)

Can you upload the screenshot of what doesn't fit on your iPod, please?

On my PC, there is no space between the avatar and the member's name; just an aesthetics  point.

In this case your assumption is incorrect... it's a 4th generation 32GB iPod with the most up-to-date iOS that can be installed (6.1.6).  You might consider adding a note that the new BoonEx template may not display correctly on some older Apple devices.  Not everyone can afford to have the latest generation Apple toys... especially when an older model works just fine in *most* situations ;-)

I'll second the avatar issue. For the iPod issue, it doesn't look to be due to the limited screen resolution. Just ran a test, and the site looks fine. Maybe Safari on iOS 6 is woefully outdated?

Do you have a 4G iPod?  Do you know of better alternatives Safari?  Just to be very clear... other sites I look at (that render fine on my PC) render just fine on my "woefully outdated" iOS 6 Safari browser :-)

Great advice if you want to turn the device into a power hog, and dramatically slow it down.  Those older devices don't accommodate the new bloated operating systems very well.  Sure, things will look nice and pretty in your browser, but you pay a hefty price.  When I upgraded my iPhone from OS4 to  OS7, my battery life went from 48hrs+ to less than 12hrs.

We choose the challenge of trying to make him feel pleased by what we've done ourselves.

Why don't you ask HL for help?

Fine... be that way.  In case you change your mind, I work for beer.  If it's a lot of work, a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue, may be required.

I don't have an iOS 6 device to test, so I checked the screen size with my browser's developer tools. I'm sure it's something BoonEx is using that's not playing well with that version of Safari, but I don't know what. As for different browsers, all iOS browsers (e.g., Chrome, Opera, etc.) use Safari for their engine due to Apple limitations.

LOL. MASSIVE testing must have been performed before this version came online. Go to a mod in the market and select the support thread link and see what happens... I tried Premium Classifieds and it just keeps bringing me back to the index...

That light/lime green text on white just doesn't cut it.

We used "vw" css units, which aren't supported in iOS 6 or iOS 7, to accomplish the same in old devices we have to use JS which can dramatically reduce performance.

Actually the problem only with some topics, even when the problem has place the site is still usable but with the help of horizontal scroll...

No big deal since I rarely look at boonex.com on my iPod anymore.  And I'm not concerned that my "woefully outdated" 4G iPod didn't make the list for iOS8.  My "old" iPod still does what I need it to... allow me to check my websites and respond to messages ;-)

A long standing complaint is the location of the report "button" beside the quote "button"; members report clicking on it by accident way too often, including myself.  There appears to be plenty of space on that bar, Why not put a wide space between "Quote" and "Report"?  In case the report feature is actually used in the future.

Confirmation dialog has been just added for "Report" and "Bury" actions.

Sorry to burst your bubble but this all looks very Kid's School.

Horrendously amateurish.

I thought it was just the forum colour scheme that was bad, but what's with your homepage?

Centered text?

Seriously, even the primary school projects of the 1990's were quickly encouraged to drop that as a form
of trying to get any meaningful online message across.

Kingdom Tower, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

The tallest building in the world is being constructed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom Tower will be 1001 meters tall, which equates to 3285 feet.

A quick analysis of the Skyforum's last post, and a quick measurement of the first ten posts, I have concluded that it would take eight Kingdom Towers stacked on top of each other to match the length of this page. That's if all the posts in this forum were listed on a single page.

Credit to Wikimedia.org for the picture. That's so Boonex doesn't get a call from a legal secretary.
