New Pages Vanishing

i am using the page builder to create new pages and I can create the first fine, but the second, third, etc take the place of that first new page I created instead of creating another.  Also, I want to remove some of the default pages and can't find a delete function.  Sorry I am brand spankin' new.  appreciate the help!
