New Booner Looking for Advice on Build

Greetings Community!

My Name is Jay and I am very excited about this community and Platform. I have spent hours reading through Mods in the Market, have downloaded and gone through the DEMO version of the Dolphin Platform (7.1.6) and believe I have put together a Good List of Mods to go alone with CORE to really get this baby rolling fast.

I am the owner of a RevShare Company Currently and am going to make the Transition to Social Media Network and bring as many of the 10k members over we possibly can. From what I can see I am going to need a SERIOUS Server and that I need to mindful of the "RMS" resources being used by the Platform and its Users. With that said I would like to Expand upon my planned Platform Setup and have you guys weigh in.

So here is the list of Mods in order to make the Site the way that I envision it:

I am hoping that all of this will work in tandem to provide me with a solid Platform with Various Level Members with different accessibilities and options on Each Level. Hoping to create a VIRAL type of Affilaite Sign up with commissions being paid for Advertiser Level Members who Purchase ads.

Obviously its all fine and well in my imagination however we shall see once it is all set into motion.

I am just waiting for some advice and input before I pull the trigger and Start Purchasing all this stuff and getting "IntellaFRIENDS" set up and in motion.

If you expect the development to take several weeks... a few months... then I'd suggest you check to see what the next major version, D7.2, is planning to include since there might be some new features that make purchasing one or two paid modules on your list unnecessary.  I also suggest you avoid purchasing modules that do *not* have a boonex support forum. 

Have fun... but expect a fair amount of setup work too.  The Dolphin platform has a lot of potential :-)

Do you know where I can find some info on the upcoming update.

From what I have seen its still in "mid - stages" of Development...maybe a few months out?

I am looking to get this bad boy up and running in two weeks with the help of a few people... setup indeed seems to be vast but I am all in and I have a BIG OLD BAG OF JAVA! 

Every so often you should get an email about updates now that your a boonex member.  Basically what you see in the blogs section holds update information on 7.2/8.

If you need help with a dedicated server and RMS let me know. Can also give you a hand with modules and templates and all that good stuff if needed.  

When building a new website never plan for it to be just a couple of weeks, otherwise you may be disappointed. Good work takes time.  This is what I tell my own web design customers so they know what to expect. 

For example, if they are giving you unlimited design changes, then each change you request takes more time. If you have to custom code a mod, then you have to demo it, then approve it, and then may request some more modifications. Many IT projects fail because the web designer does not tell people what to expect.
