Need help Installing with MAMP locally!

Hello, has anyone installed Dolphin locally using MAMP on a Mac? If so, can anyone provide instructions as to how to do this locally?

Thank you,

David

I have the same issue with      chmod 777 or chmod 755      for the file   ./flash/modules/global/app/ffmpeg.exe

Just will not accept the chnage in Dolphoin, the system says permissions have been changed.

Why do we need a .exe file on Mac anyway ?!!

no experience at all with a MAC, though i would say to save countless hours of time, get yourself a hosting account on a server. macs are not meant to be webservers.

You probably need a ffmpeg binary compiled for Mac OS X, something not provided by BoonEx. The ffmpeg binary released with Dolphin is for Linux, and the only other one available is for Windows. You can search around for a download, and then replace the current one (just remember to add the extension).

You can test Dolphin locally, and it's recommended when doing development work, but if you plan on using this for a production system, it's best you purchase hosting.
