My site recently tanked in rankings, and I just got Google Help reply about my site being hacked, someone has copied it

We are using ALL our resources with Googles help to track down ANYONE using GeoDetecting.com assests! We will then inform our lawyers and start criminal actions towards ANYONE copying or using our protected assests! If you know about this or can help in ANY WAY please contact me ASAP!

it does not look like a copy of your site, nor does it even talk about the same subject matter. But just curious - if you look in your file directory for your site - in your main directory, do you have a folder called jds. I could be totally wrong, but it looks like someone loaded a folder which contained a site into your directory. If that is the case, yo ushould be able to delete the folder. Then - you have to figure out how that person got login credentials for your site. Y ou may be able to call your hosting company and see how to access your logs to see at least an ip address.

I am just guessing based on what you have provided so far, so please forgive me if I am wrong.

It appears to be a copy of a page on your site. Then the content modified. All the main menu links all go back to your site, but the sub-menu items and content does not.

Start changing all of your server passwords. I don't believe breaking into your system was how the page was copied, but just to be safe, change the passwords. But pages from anyone's site can be easily copied.

they probs copied parts of your site via page source and other parts collected by linking their page to other relevant parts like style sheets. It seems they only have the one page.

So as explained by others, your site wasn't hacked. Someone copied a page off your site (you can do this with most browsers) and uploaded it to their server - they're not running Dolphin.

Not cool, but the most we can do here is point you to that Whois that Deano linked to.

Website owner is in Sri Lanka, and is probably clueless.

Thanks so much for the quick reply! I have changed all my passwords which I do regularly anyhow. I really think it was a provider, so many have worked on this site, but not sure, some have come and gone, some are still hear and I TRUST! Only takes one idiot to do this, but I will not stop from finding out who.

I have all my content protected by Copyright and Trademarks, and when my lawyer gets done with this guy they will wish they never seen my site! I might even be able to pay for all the work done for the last 4 years.

 Just call the host up and they where very very responsive to get this take down ASAP! I hope they do or will pay.

What the next and I hope final question to this matter is, how do you find sites like this? I got this info from a Google forum after a keyword tanked in the search engines (still trying to find out why this happened) and some posted this info.
