I need visitors to the site to create a membership to the site to be able to get in. I have looked through the settings but cannot find a way to do this. I also looked through the modules available in the market but did not find anything there either.
How can I do this?
thanks,
Dan

Dan,
You have posted in the 7.0 forum; are you using 7.0.x?
Anyway, have you installed the "memberships" module?
The question is very vague; could you be a bit more verbose?

Thanks for your reply. I made up an HTML cover page with a join button and a members button. I want the site visitor to be required to sign up before they see anything in the site, such as the index page.
Thanks,

You can use page access control module to limit access to the site pages and to navigation. Also, you can use the navigation builder to also limit what navigation the guest can see. Geeks, making the world a better place |

Your looking for a "splash" page, searching this site will garner many results.

If you want to block all module (page) views from your site you have to do a liltle more then just put a splash page in front.
you have to change your php code to.
look for : Deanos Redirect Guests to splash.php here on the forum.
I use it too (splash page) and allow guests only to view some mod pages. the rest will be redirected to splash page to login or join!

Just a note for reference..... personally I never join any site without first having a look around.... I have no idea what insanity drives people to install splash pages that block attention grabbing member converting content... Content is king... splash pages are for the giants -FB, twitter and linkedin.
