Musical Ecards module (AndrewP)

AndrewP "Musical Ecards" module support thread is here.

wasnt this part of the earlier dolphin release, and it was determined that you could not use those ecards without paying for them or something. i of course dont care either way, but seems odd that this mod would pop-up after being gone for some time. same as with 'chicks for free'

No, this is totally new module made by me. This don`t have any code from old Ecards by boonex.

Yes, currently sending cards is free. But possible in coming updates I`ll apply some payment way.

Version 1.0.0 released.

* mass sending EGifts from admin panel to members
* now 'Send EGift' available from navigation menu (not only in 'actions' block)

Hello for some reason I cannot get the audio working with e-cards ??

when I use firefox quicktime crashes and sounds wont work with IE or Chrome

Please help

 another issue I see is when you hover the cursor over a users image the ecards button is not in actions block like when you visit a users profile !

just to add, I have also tried e-cards  with 2x seperate computer systems and still audio is failing to work correctly...   I'm really not sure why.

Is there any possible way to mask the viewable Ecard URL or use randomized numerical characters? 

Currently the "http://domain.com/m/mecards/view/3" can easily be viewed by other members by changing the number at the end of the URL. This can be a privacy concern for members.

If possible this would be great to see in the next version.

2 Jabadoo, ok, well, I have saved your explanation. I will add this for next update.

I like the mod (bought it yesteday) but i also have one main consern about privacy when any user (just by changing he number at the end of the url http:// domain. com/m/mecards/view/n  ) can read cards sent by other users.

If you can please find a solution for that, it will be appreciated.

For now i'm dissabling the mod until the above privacy consern has been worked out.

Only part of the message in the music card is displayed when someone receives it.

In other words the preview of the card shows the entire message before you hit the send button, but once it's sent & someone retrieves the card it only displays a portion of what was originally sent.

Module has been updated (v 1.1.1)

* Description field capacity was increased
* Only actual recipients (and admins) can see cards
* Module has been integrated with wall (send alert to wall when we send ecard)

This module has been updated. It is available for Dolphin 7.1 now.

Does this ecaerd enable users to send to fb friends?

Yes, of course, you can send ecards to all your friends, and it doesn't matter where are they from. Only one thing is required - they should be members of your community, in this case you will be able to select them and send ecards.

This module has been updated. Two features were added:

* You can send custom images for ECards (html5 ajaxy photo upload)
* You can select font size

As I remember, allow_url_fopen server's param should be ON, not OFF. Try to enable it.

Hi Andrew.  I resolved it.  Even though I made a change in the php.ini, I didnt change my .htaccess to reflect the addition of a php.ini file. ;)

Ok.. so it works! Thank you!

May I ask though, can we view the card in a popup window? It looks out of place in a full sized browser window.
