Music download disable

Someone knows how to disable the download button in the player of music, I've searched but I can not in any side

That is a good question. I can't find it either. I found it for the video but not for music.

This is actually quite simple. Go to Admin > Modules > Flash Apps and select the Music Player application from the list. Scroll down the settings and you will see a checkmark for disabling/enabling downloads.

Now, choose wisely.

Now I have a question for this as well. Except it's reverse.

How do I download music, I have set the flash app to "download" but I see no where to actually download the music file.

From the 'triangle' menu in the Flash player, there should be a link to download the file.

Edit: Music downloading is disabled by default, so use the instructions above to enable it first.

It is the 7.0.x player, seems there should have just been a button in the actions block. geez

I see the link, click download... opens folder to send to, nothing happens. 

Flash handles the download in the background - check the download directory for the file.

 Yes, the file is created in the download folder but is not complete, no ID data.. just the name.

Give it a while to finish.  Downloaded a file from the olde test server, finished downloading (basically waited until the file size stopped increasing) and it played fine.

Haven't tried methods to mess-up the download.  That's next on my to-do list.

Downloads stop when the window/tab is closed - it basically kills the background Flash.

Not the most ideal way to illegally download MP3s.

Something small but worth mentioning. When you go to upgrade the Music player in Flash, if you are using the latest version the wording that appears  "You use the latest version of this widget"  should be "You are using the latest version of this widget"

But hey, who   I   say lets make    professional. You issue   definitely      important than mine.

Now, you know I really do have a good sense of humor.

That feature doesn't work in Dolphin 7 - it's from when Ray was a separate product.  It may still work for third-party (Rayz) extensions, though.  But for core stuff, upgrades are done through standard Dolphin patches.

Edit: Regardless, typos should still be fixed.  I'll think about making a ticket for AlexT's amusement.

 As I stated this was for 7.0.9 I have not even looked at 7.1.x even though I have built many sites. It's just after three years, no one asked to be able or how to actually download audio files.

The site will not be updated to 7.1.x ATM...

 Now that we have got on this subject, I went to a 7.1.x install and enabled "downloads" for audio files.

Using the HTML5 player there seems there is no "download" link or function.

Can you check this link?

Right-click on the HTML5 player and select to download the file.  You may need to click in some random spot for the actual file controls to show in the right-click menu.

wow, again so hidden for the "normal" site user.

I guess the ticket would apply then, I hope it gets added to the actions block.
