Multiple event blocks?

Is there a way to run 2 or more different event blocks on the index or main page of my site. I would like to have "Club Events", "Non-Club events" and "Local Concerts" blocks all on the same page.

Any chance of making this a reality?

Writing some code for a new block to be displayed on the frontpage should do the trick.
